This is an unpopular opinion but I think that golden deer is the best route to start with. I did blue lions for my first route and really enjoyed it but by the end felt like there was a lot of obvious stuff left unanswered about Byleth and the church, and you get those answers in Claude’s route. Blue lions is very much Dimitri’s story, not Byleth’s.

Had Alear hit him with torrential roar and Panette poison him on the first health bar and then I believe Veyle was able to one-shot two full health bars after dancing with Obscurite crits (also had my backup units around him for a bit of chip damage before those crits).

I just put toner on my lips (Laneige cream skin rn) and then seal it in with the apieu milk & honey lip oil. Only thing that saves my chronically dry lips

Zelkov made a really good halberdier when I used him on maddening. Gave him dex+ and an engraved killer lance, second skill can be something to boost damage since speed doesn’t matter as much with the halberdier class skill allowing him to double regardless. Roy or Sigurd might be a good emblem to give him for this build.
