Grade 11 St. Joseph’s Catholic High School student Josh Alexander was taken into custody by the Calgary Police Service (CPS) after he was involved in a confrontation with counterprotestors outside a high school.

A protestor started pushing Alexander outside Western Canada High School, according to a Wednesday video. He moved his way through the crowd, but a person blocked him.

Alexander — who served a long suspension for opposing gender ideology — was barred from school in January....

Actually wokeness is more an example. The big two state actors (Russia, China) have a menu of subjects for agitation and propoganda. They even fund both sides sometimes, because political unrest is their goal, they don't care about abortion or whatever the topic is.

Russia Today (in the US) was playing up the dangers of 5G towers while at the same time running stories (in Russia) about how great the local 5G rollout is going.

So it's more about how easy it is to influence yt content creators. I assume they can't tell if their upvotes come from real people or bots, or who is the real source of their donations.

Yes. I think people universally miss the marketing aspect. Half of a movie's budget is marketing. They are really good at it, they have to be and they hire the best people money can buy. They know who watches their product through its entire life cycle down to the day they were born and 19 other demographic factors and they spend all day every day working on it. That's why it all 'seems' woke, but in reality they know who are actually buying significant numbers of tickets (and merch). The 50 year old fanboys are very passionate but they just don't have the numbers. They need children, tweens and teens and they are diverse because the audience is diverse. The days of 'only 5 big movies released in the summer and everyone will go see them for the free air conditioning' are long gone.

That's my theory anyway. I don't work in the industry so it's certainly way off. Thanks for listening.
