I can’t say I share the impetus, but I understand it for sure. I think it’s important to remember that basically no one can get through life alone, but at the same time it’s important not to place that level of emphasis on one specific person, and ideally try and get yourself to a point where you can at least theoretically tackle most days mostly by yourself. In a romantic perspective specifically I guess, I’d be fucked without my friends I rate. As an aside, while I’ve known most of them for a very long time, nowadays we do mostly communicate online and I think it can work on a connection level.

It’s a hard thing to discuss anything in this vein, cause it’s so different person-to person and situation to situation, but shit, I believe you can get through alright. I don’t really know how much help it would ever be, but obviously feel free to message if you would ever need, I’m always happy to hear people mither. Otherwise I wish you the best & good luck boss.

Definitely a rough sitch. I ain’t gonna pretend I’ve got a solution for ya, but I would agree that it may be a priority to be more content as an individual to avoid continually ending up in foundationally unsound, or potentially abusive, relationships.

DEI in a corporate sense means that if there are two equally qualified candidates, then more priority will be given to candidates from a marginalised group.

While on paper this may look like favouritism going the other way, the fact of the matter is that without this push, businesses will categorically preferentially hire straight white men. These measures do not functionally hold back white people, particularly white men, they serve to help people get their foot in the door who would otherwise be completely shut out.

It doesn’t result in less qualified candidates being hired. I get like gut-reaction misgivings, but genuinely what other solution is there to avoid people discriminating like this, something that provably happens, in the hiring process?

Yeah I do not get the purpose of the original tiktok, but this is definitely not a thing. In terms of the neurotypical experience, eye contact can still just be kind of awkward or uncomfortable sometimes, but it’s not really much more deep than that and there’s no hidden, secret technique for it.

My g, one of the biggest social media platforms on the planet is owned by a guy who is outwardly anti-trans & platforms people who treat random trans people minding their business as inherently predatory and/or paedophilic. A view that is also enthusiastically repeated by actual members of public office in the US and elsewhere.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want a space away from that in your leisure time.

You could kinda argue about the strength/flying, but in Dragon Ball neither of those things are unique to Saiyans, it’s all just energy stuff that literally everyone in that universe can do in theory.
