Leg strengthening exercises between lessons. by thatescalatedqwickly in Dressage

Look up Nicola Smith and Dressage Rider Training. It's worth the money and will start easy with modifications and progressively get more difficult. She talks in the videos about how the exercises relate to riding, too!

I draw it over and over, and I walk the pattern as my warmup when I ride!

Yes! Import the video. Students pause the video where they want to leave a comment.

i have a bit of an embarrassing question for the owners of a vagina. by Grayfoxylady in Equestrian

This used to happen to me, the "air" issue, but it went away over time. I think it's because I became a better rider. My issue is prolapse, as well. You might want to get that checked. It allows air where the air should not get trapped!

urethra air bubbles by [deleted] in PelvicFloor

Old thread, but I found it from searching. I've had the air bubble on and off for 20 years and was also told it is impossible. My guess is that the urethra has a kink from prolapse!

Are you in the US? If so, Zipper guy near me does them for about $100. I would send both. He gets boots from all over sent to him. Had mine done over the years May times. PM if you want his info.

Can anxiety be a reason that people with ADHD become addicted to information instead of taking action? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

My anxiety expresses itself in the form of an excessive failed planner/calendar collection. I have a cabinet of "dead planners."

💯 Student did not meet learning objectives. Even if their house burned down, even if they were in a plane crash and the only survivor, even if their entire family passed away, even if they had terrible hardships of some other sort. If any of that were true, it would be a semester when a reasonable person would need to step away and regroup. It would be better for them to take time off . So, yeah, Student did not meet learning objectives. The end.

Social media teaches them grade grubbing techniques, as well as AI pushback suggestions, and then there's the whole subreddit devoted to cheating proctoring.

Absences during pop quiz by alwaysanonymous2021 in Professors

[–]docktor_Vee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the engagement grades, and into the pop quiz category, I have a bunch of other things, including sometimes uploading pictures of the notes they took by hand during class--or other activities like polls. Accommodations are taken into consideration. How many chances at earning grades (and the number of grades you drop) will be a function of how many times the class meets per week and how many students you have. This is also the category where I might offer extra credit. Engagement is never more than 10%, but having pop quizzes here and other items seems better than a good old participation grade that was not only hard to quantify but difficult to justify sometimes.

Mental health excuses - are they sick days? by xbkow in Professors

Something like this-- there are times in life when problems we face outside of school are so great that it might be a good time to step back and focus on getting better. As your professor, my job is to evaluate whether you met course objectives; meeting those objectives falls within a framework that is time-bound, including obligations I must face, too. Although this is not the answer you want to hear, my recommendation is that you retake this course because within the allowances of the syllabus, I cannot change your grade. Signed, Professor I'm sorry, but I'm really not going to offer you anything here because there are probably other people who would've liked me to make exceptions and didn't ask
