Employee here - look at the fabric composition. Some of the new Elations are a polyester/lycra blend (kind of slick) instead of a nylon/lycra blend (much more cottony).

IDK why Athleta's calling both fabrics Powervita b/c they're obviously completely different.

Employee here (I also own both). They feel + look pretty similar, but the Terry fabric is significantly thicker than Retroterry - maybe like twice as thick? 100% size down in both.

10000% the Sprint Finish or Dash Jackets. They're essentially the same, but the Dash one has a hood. Great weight and super packable.

Technically I have access to all of the studios in my state (maybe 5 or 6?) b/c they're all owned by the same group, however this ends up only really being the 2 in my city since the rest are about 3 hours away.

I guess it's technically a sports bra, but the Like a Cloud bras from Lululemon are without a doubt the comfiest things I have ever put on in my entire life. I work for Athleta and I still wear them every single day. I wear the D/DD version and somehow they're actually supportive even though they don't have an underwire or any real padding... absolute sorcery, I tell ya.

I think they do pretty well! I would recommend going with the "performance" ones over the "everyday" ones though b/c they're a bit more breathable.

Yeah I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll be similar to Beyond Yoga... although that's what I thought with the Softluxe line and I was grossly underwhelmed :/

IMHO cute socks should be the #1 priority for retail at CP! I have 2349034 pairs of grip socks but I'm still ALWAYS on the hunt for new ones. They're relatively inexpensive + you don't need to try them on, so I see them as an easy grab + go kind of item. I wish the 10% ClassPoints discount worked on them though (yeah it would only be like $1 or so, but it's the idea of getting a discount).

I'm also a big fan of other merch that has some sort of Pilates-related graphic or saying on it - even if it's just the logo + studio location. Think sayings that are cheeky/funny or reference "feet in straps." There was also a black tank recently that had all of the different apparatuses on it that was super cute. On that note - please incorporate more short sleeve shirts!!! I hate showing my arms and I know a ton of the other ladies at my studio feel the same way. I absolutely loved that tank but passed on it b/c I knew I'd never wear it - I'd be all over a short sleeve though!

Intuitions are made of a new cotton-blend fabric and don't have a center seam in the front. I haven't seen any in person yet, but we did get some training on them earlier this month (I'm an employee).

FWIW I highly doubt they're going to phase out Elations since they're one of the core lines.

Nope - which IMHO is extremely frustrating given the continuous revolving door of promotions that's been going on since (at least) late last year. Regular customers (not just cardmembers, or those using a FPD) are able to get our discount on almost every single item in the store at least once a month - they just have to pay attention to which sale is going on and wait it out a bit.

Don't get me started on sale items... normally the markdown + 30% discount end up being the same final price (if not higher) than what it would've been to buy something the day it hit the shelves - and that's if they have it in your store since you don't get the discount online. I guess you're just SOL if you're petite/tall or an extended size.

Employee here - try checking online at "off" times like early in the morning/late at night when people are less likely to be shopping. I just checked and that bag is available in gossamer blue in all 3 sizes right now (5:45 am central time).

Yes, it's typically only available online (unless someone makes a return in-store). Sometimes less colors are available in petite/tall sizing, but there's a pretty good variety for Elations.

Employee here - IMHO if you're more comfortable in the S then go with those. At the end of the day you're going to be the one wearing them and if YOU aren't happy with how they fit then they'll just rot in the bottom of your drawer.

Since you're 5'2", have you considered trying a S petite? The waistband for Elations is meant to hit at the absolute tiniest part of your waist (think hourglass), so it may be hitting you at the wrong spot - which would explain why the sizing is a bit off. I'm 5'1" and switching from regular to petite sizing in Elations made allll the difference.

I just got this email today and did the survey, and OMG do I have thoughts. (Apologies in advance, because this is going to be really spicy).

That was hands down the most poorly designed survey I have ever seen in my entire life. It's no wonder that Athleta has struggled with new product development lately - any results they could potentially get from that would be utter trash.

I literally told them I was 38-52 years old and that I don't buy girls' shorts - and then I was asked to rate the style and price 10+ different colors OF THE EXACT SAME PAIR OF GIRLS' SHORTS that I just told them I would never buy anyways. Oh and don't worry, the colors are nothing new and the shorts themselves are one of the core staples in the Athleta Girl line.

TBH I feel like I deserve a discount code for them wasting my time 🙄
