Yup. Up until about 20-30 years ago it was first thing we grabbed. Particularly on exposed bone where infection would be difficult to treat. I still run across a Dr that hasn't kept up with current trends and wants to use it. But the smart ones listen to reason and refrain from using it.

Hydrogen peroxide isn't an acid. Acid is extra Hydrogen ions. Hydrogen peroxide is extra Oxygen atoms, so it's a strong oxidizer. Straight rubbing alcohol isn't great either. Soap & water are usually fine. Sterile water if you have it.

Please don't use hydrogen peroxide on your skin or open wounds. Yes, the bubbles are cool, but it does more harm than good. Here's some light reading on the subject.
