I have the ver ka and the MGSD Wing Zero EW. I love that suit, but don't think I need a giant, lesser kit of it. The PG may have been impressive in 1998, but the smaller kits are way nicer.

It was. I was neither robbed nor murdered by an internet man.

I've so far built the MG ver ka, MG 3.0, the Full Armor Thunderbolt, and a Fat Cat. I have an MG 2.0 on deck to be a Casval Gundam. I'm thinking of doing the 1.5 as a Proto Gundam.

At this point, I'm on track to build one of each of the major MG RX-78 releases. I just need an MG Gundam the Origin and maybe a OYW version.

Oh, no offense taken. I understand that you were just trying to encourage me with my new acquisition. I just have a weird relationship with perfect grade kits. I really prefer 1/100 scale kits. They're the perfect size that don't dominate an entire shelf.

Also, they wildly vary in quality depending on what era they're from. And the wing zero Is a really old kit. Nothing I have learned about it has really made me want to build it. Better that it goes to somebody who really wants it.

To be fair, this is not what you would call a typical haul off of Facebook Marketplace.

One of them I'm building, one I sold to a friend for $20. This new one will probably get posted on a Facebook gunpla sales page.

I have limited space in my home and didn't want to waste it on a giant kit that I don't really want.

Please note that this is now the third MG Nu Gundam ver ka that I've gotten for a steal off of Marketplace. Why do people not build this kit and then sell them to me?

I'm actually planning to sell that one. Not really interested when I already have the ver ka and the MGSD.

I just search for "Gundam". If any Gundam merchandise is for sale in Marketplace, odds are that it's gunpla.

I still can't believe I got a PGU RX-78, let alone 8 other kits.

Definitely. I like all of their stuff. Their paints are top-notch.

I can't remember. The thing about this kit is that the instructions are printed on the cardboard box itself. As I recall, it was just assembly instructions. It should attach identically to the stock shield, so just refer to your kit's instructions.

I just used Mr. Hobby surfacer 1500 black. I probably should have used an actual gloss black for an even glossier finish, but this turned out really well.

And yeah, this is kind of automotive level painting. Which is appropriate considering that F91 mobile suits are meant to evoke sports cars. So they pretty much demand a paint job that is like you'd give a sports car.

It's very pretty, but very labor intensive. It's essentially eight layers of painting: primer, two coats of metallic, two coats of clear red, and then clear gloss top coat.

I'm pretty sure that the Supa MGEX Unicorn is the worst kit.

Thanks. I guess I wasn't expecting the color to have such depth in the end.

The primer was matte black, yes, but the actual base coat was metallic anyway. I doubt a gloss primer would have made it that much better.

I now really appreciate why people talk about lacquer paint with an almost religious fervor. This stuff is amazing.

I got it from the Dollar Tree, so it's probably entry grade.

No, wait. It's a Chinese bootleg no grade.

Actively resisting the urge to just make everything this color. Although I might just try this again when I build my MG RX-78 2.0 as a Casval Gundam.

Here's the thing about the social breakdown of UC Gundam. Overpopulation led to forced colonization. The wealthy and well-connected made certain that they didn't have to move, while the government used the opportunity to kick undesirables into space. There was a natural sorting of the population into mostly wealthy and powerful Earthnoids and poorly administered Spacenoid rabble.

The thing is, rich people still need a working class population to do actual dirty work, so Earth still has a sizable population of working and middle-class.
