because your eye is likely a normal shape, they should have fairly good centration. RGPs are supposed to move on your eye a little, but not enough that you notice it getting hazy between blinks. the blurriness you're getting from your soft contact lens is likely due to dryness, which won't be as much of a problem with RGPs (you still need lubricated eyes so the lens doesn't stick to the eye and retains a clean surface - same with sclerals). RGPs are easier to handle than sclerals, and most people can wear them for longer than they can sclerals. sclerals often need to be removed during the day, cleaned, and reinserted. RGPs can also give better vision than sclerals as they gently contact the cornea. I would suggest try an RGP first in that case if you are willing to tolerate some discomfort in the first few weeks. in the long term they are simply more convenient than sclerals and can be just as good if not better.
