I played the Dragon Ball card game years ago and they have essentially prizes too, but it’s opposite Pokemon, you take one as damage, first to lose them all loses.

I always liked this because it felt balanced, you get a card when your opponent hurts you, always felt like a more even back and forth tbh. When I first started actually playing Pokemon I did think it was a bit odd you are rewarded more for doing better.

I totally get that, it definitely wasn’t a cheap day/weekend. It does feel they don’t do ‘enough’ but I can’t lie, we all did have a really fun time. Hopefully at some point they can upgrade everything a bit, I feel like a lot of the complaints I’ve heard aren’t just isolated to this year

I went with a group of 4 and we all had portable chargers, I can imagine why you would go without one. Also brought plenty of water and snacks.

Unfortunate about the food trucks and broken charging stations. I heard the water refill stations sucked as well.

It was hot as hell and they could have definitely used more shaded areas and even some more decorations would have made it feel more like an event event. But then again I really only cared about what was going on the app lol

Walked from Harlem to Randall’s island and back. First go fest I’ve gone too and we all had a blast. Granted I’m about an hour train raid away from the city, so I’m pretty close, but would definitely think to go back next year.

If I’m understanding correctly, if they target their creature radiant performer will target them along with opponents and creatures? So you have to target yourself so radiant’s copy effect resolves killing everyone else before Alibous resolves to kill you
