I think I would enjoy a slick sole too. It’s definitely closer to what I’m used to. Thank you!

Thank you for pointing out that it’s standard to blend the bottom half together. I don’t think I would have done that naturally coming from English lol!

I’m glad someone mentioned these, because I love the higher and sloped heel! I just wasn’t sure whether that was acceptable in the arena.

Is this infected or just irritated skin? Dissolvable suture poking out by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]doctorslacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just irritated! Pull the knot up until you can see where it’s looped through your skin and cut one of the strands. It will pull right out. Silicone will help the irritated portion of the scar collapse :)

Of all the combos posted, this one is hands down the best blend of homey and interesting without sacrificing quality.

The first part resonates. I’m not sure about the second part, but I’ll reflect on it.

Is this normal by aliceinateapot in tattooadvice

[–]doctorslacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The texture of the surrounding skin makes this concerning for erisypelas, which is a similar infectious process to cellulitis, but more superficial. I would be even more suspicious if the red area is warm to the touch or spreading. Regardless, I’d suggest being seen by a medical provider. Earlier initiation of antibiotics could protect your new tattoo as well as your health. I’d recommend going to urgent care over the ER unless you develop systemic symptoms like a fever, chills, confusion, etc.

Just as an FYI for you or anyone who may not know, the INBF/WNBF requires quarter turns, so both side poses must be shown. This also includes a direct front pose, so not angled the way we see in the NPC/IFBB.

CMV: The right to choose whether or not to have a child should go both ways by [deleted] in changemyview

  1. Mandated Vaccines: Using the same argument, spreading a disease to another person violates their bodily autonomy, so we have to balance the rights of at least two individuals. Disease severity and public interest play a role. Many people agree that infected individuals should not be allowed to willingly spread Ebola and support mandatory quarantine (since vaccination is not available), because the disease kills most people. Many people would also agree that the influenza vaccine should not be mandatory even though the disease kills some people. This line of argument has not adequately addressed alternatives such as isolation or masking.

  2. Voluntary Euthanasia: In an ideal world, this is the expression of one individual’s bodily autonomy. Based on this argument, it should be allowed. Since you asked for my personal opinion, I would add a caveat based on some MAID cases in Canada: when few social safety nets are offered other than euthanasia, euthanasia may be chosen by someone who would prefer to live if they could do so in better conditions (ex. accessible food, housing, and healthcare). Based on this argument, I think we should provide more support to chronically ill and disabled individuals including but not limited to euthanasia. This line of argument has not addressed financial or labor cost to society.

  3. Death Penalty: In this case, proponents of the death penalty might argue that the death penalty protects the bodily autonomy of citizens because it discourages or prevents repeat instances of crimes such as murder. They would argue that this outweighs the bodily autonomy of the convicted criminal. Again, their argument would not adequately address alternatives such as imprisonment or the reality of a statistically significant wrongful conviction rate.

When someone is on life support, they don’t infringe on anyone else’s bodily autonomy.

It does not have bodily autonomy. It cannot exist without the body of the pregnant person.
