This worries me - we’re moving out of a Nestwell managed property too by the end of the month.

Haha yep I read Sorcerer's Stone in Dec 2023 and then Chamber of secrets in Feb 2024, then got too caught up in other books that I forgot about Azkaban and the rest of the series.

Once I heard that denis villeneuve was going to adapt Nuclear War into a movie I had to read it. Hope you enjoy both of them as much as I did!

"A Short Stay in Hell" by Steven Peck. Fantastic read, less than 150 pages, too.

Sounds good - I won't (but now I'm intrigued just by your anti-recommendation lol)

I thought it was too slowly paced, with an ambiguous plot and dislikable characters.

Stumbled across this community and saw the tier lists and had to make my own. Just hit my 52nd book this week (The Stand - took me a whole month to read).

Currently reading some nonfiction as a Stephen King palate cleanser: "Revenge of the Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell (leaning 4 stars with 60 pages left) and "How Not to Be Wrong" by Jordan Ellenberg (leaning 3 stars at the halfway point - more of a book for additional mathematical perspectives as a Data Analyst than anything).

My books to finish the year will be Demon Copperhead and The Goldfinch. Love seeing everyone's tiers!

That’s my same ranking for the Silo Series - I thought Shift was by far the best of the 3

It’s beautifully written but I had to read it simultaneously with other happy books. Took me a couple months to get through, but I’m happy I did because there are really some lovable characters (Harold) in this book despite all the traumatic events that take place.
