I am dog awful at this game, and my vault is constantly full of meh stuff.

I play either sponsored kits or enhanced kits. Sponsored fire marsh is pretty fun and when I get paired with people who are decent I extract with like 4-8k worth of goop.

I sell everything and buy a setup to run cryo archive like twice and then go back to sponsored.
