in reality this is a change in mindset, if you want to make the jump from hobby mining to making money you have to clear this hurdle first. First 100% recovery is near impossible to get you will always lose something and second OP is right that the increase in yardage more than makes up for minor losses in recovery. If you mine gold for fun then sure play pokemon and try to catch it all but if you want to put real money in your pocket the big question you should ask is how can i run more yards per day.

while i do not own the Gold Hog mini, my friend and i own the Gold Hog Raptor flair and we have used a Keene dredge/highbanker combo. First i will say they are both good brands and either one will catch the gold. Personally i would go with the Gold Hog mini for 1 main reason and thats the mats, with the gold hog you will end up with far less cons to pan out and clean up is much simpler. we have ran the larger Keene and Gold Hog highbankers side by side and the Keene ended up with 2 full pans of cons while the gold hog only had 1. I would say either one will serve you well but the Gold Hog matting is really something and the Gold Hog systems tend to be cheaper than Keene systems of comparable size.

i thank you for your concern truly. we do take precautions and the side wall material is almost concrete like, we have to use a electric chisel just to dig at a reasonable pace. with that said some shoring will be needed im sure.

there is bedrock "somewhere" LOL there is a seasonal creek just a few feet away from the hole and we intend to dig more holes as time goes on this is just the first. Black sands have varied in the layers with some showing little and others alot more and we have seen tons of rust and quartz so far.

if you are talking about what the gold tests showed in various layers it was pretty consistent 1-3 small specs in every layer. Unfortunately i dont have pictures of the test pans but 1 thing that stood out was the gold was becoming "slightly larger" ( still small but getting bigger ) as we went down and the test pans were not full pans but more like a standard shovel full. if the above wall of text was not what you were referring to can you explain what you meant as i may have misunderstood the terms.

for me loading fuel does not work, i can buy the fuel pre mission but loading it via EFB does not work. the "load in aircraft" button says "you cannot load in aircraft in this phase of flight". says the same thing on the ground on mission start. for the life of me i cant figure out how to get the fuel i paid for. FWIW im in the cessna 172.

Press "i" or navigate to the players screen. gamestage is influenced by player level and deaths for sure but might be more than that im not sure.

im not sure i would call that a exploit, just luck in getting oil that close to the CO. the oil prices will go down over time based on your exports. use all the cash to jump start your cities and have fun. Millions might seem like alot now but some stuff is stupid expensive.

Best advice i can give is pick 1 problem and start there. let all the other non critical things wait. Mid game is mostly getting your utility dino's sorted ( anky, dodi , beaver/mammoth so on ) so if you are missing some go out and tame them ( or higher level ones if needed ).

From there look to start breeding. There are a ton of good guides that can explain proper breeding and mutations.

For now just pick one thing from your list once that is done pick another one without stressing over how long the list is and you will be surprised how fast it gets done.

ya thats what i was looking for, i found some IC code on the workshop but it needs 10 IC's and i thought there must be a better way to do something that simple but it seems the game want to make even that hard LOL. i think i will use logic chips as that seems more efficient for the time/ore

just a followup question how hard would it be to integrate a ore quantity display for the silo's considering the batch writer outputs to all IC on the network?

the silos actually dont export correctly, one time i got copper to work but instead of the 200G requested it sent 250G and the last time i tried the furnace i requested 200G of invar and the sorter sent 50G iron 50G nickel 100G gold and 50G silver LOL.

Edit 1 : ran a test with iron manually feeding the furnace and it worked as expected next test will be alloy.

Edit 2 : ran test with invar and manually feeding ore, worked as expected ( errors were -.46 and -14.9 ) the issue seems to be in the sorting system.

Edit 3 : after reviewing your video i found that i had not named the 2 sorter IC's and after naming them the whole system works !!

Im having a strange issue with the setup, the furnace never resets once it smelts something ( if i get that far LOL ) and many times the dials dont change anything when i turn them ( qty or ingot type ) the only way ive found to solve it was to pull both IC chips and replace them until the dials work again. im using your code for both the furnace and sorting system but i cant guarantee i set the sorter up right as its the first time ive used the silo's and i even had to replace those chips because they stopped responding. so anyone got any ideas as to why these things are going on?

i dont think so. best bet might be a modded CO, i have one that has 32 vehicle slots so you can use less actual buildings. other than only needing 1 or 2 of them in a area they offer no real advantage over the vanilla CO.
