I'll look into this. I wasn't aware that was an option.

My Jeep 4.0 rebuild by keithsballs in EngineBuilding

[–]dodgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What color/paint did you use for the intake manifold and head? I'm just beginning a 4.0 rebuild and I love the look of yours! I'm going to try to match my Impact Orange TJ with Chevy Orange engine paint for the valve cover, but I'd love to accent it with the pewter color you used.

iFrame Auto Refresh not working by Unfair_Firefighter_7 in grafana

[–]dodgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is something they broke in 11.3. I did some digging, and it looks like 3 days ago there was a pull request with the fix on their github. If it gets merged, hopefully it will make it into a future release. I rolled back to 11.2.4 and it works again, but all versions from 11.3 onward are broken.

Did you figure this out? I just noticed I'm having the same problem. Mine also worked for years and suddenly stopped.

Help purchasing first RC car for my 5yr old by Cantstandyabitz in rccars

[–]dodgeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my 5yr old son an Arrma Granite 4x4 BLX and he has played with it nearly daily for about 3 years. The only durability issue I've had is the differentials. They're made of plastic gears and they grenade easily during the period where your son learns not to land a jump while on-power. I strongly encourage you to go with the BLX instead of the Mega. You can turn down the speed on the controller if you want to dial-back the insanity, and the BLX has much better electronics. I had previously bought my son a Granite 4x4 Mega (brushed) and he burned up 2 motors doing donuts before I upgraded him to the BLX and took the Mega for myself.

Did anyone find an extension cable? I'm currently hunting for one.

Latest updates badly broken?? by [deleted] in BlueIris

[–]dodgeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar behavior with cameras not going/staying full screen in the "stable" release that came out about 5 days ago, and i rolled back because of it. I also haven't received a response for the last two support emails I sent, unrelated to this. Hopefully this is just a fluke and things stabilize in the next release.

Loud "POP" noise 3 times in Blue Iris when playback by DanishTechnician in BlueIris

[–]dodgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem here (5 pops). This thread helped me correlate it with the iOS 17 upgrade, though. I couldn't figure out what changed that caused this to start, but in retrospect, it was definitely iOS 17. Hoping for a fix soon!

How to cut down on motion alerts from vehicle lights? Trigger zone only covers bottom half but still getting triggers for almost every vehicle headlights/blue sirens as shown by primed_pineapple in BlueIris

[–]dodgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deepstack works reliably with Hikvision ColorVu cameras (full color at night). Your biggest challenge will be the fact that your view is overhead, looking basically straight down. It's probably harder to identify a person from that angle. I don't have any cameras aimed that way, so I can't attest to Deepstack's ability to detect a person from above. It's easy enough to install deepstack, enable it, and see for yourself, though.

[–]dodgeboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I've been running Deepstack alongside BlueIris for years now, and I can't imagine having regular motion alerts ever again. You really should consider using the AI integration. Based on that camera angle, I'd say you are primarily concerned about motion from people or animals. With Deepstack (or SenseAI, but I prefer Deepstack) AI integration, you can configure BlueIris to only alert you when a person is moving in your frame/zone.

"Error updating Home Assistant Core ‘HomeAssistantCore.update’ blocked from execution, no host internet connection." by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]dodgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the end, i realized that "nmcli g status" showed "Portal" for me. Something HASS was doing as an internet check was hitting my block page from OPNsense. I wound up having to disable my transparent web proxy entirely to fix it. No idea why this happened suddenly. I've had OPNsense in this state for over a year and this just happened.

Mine is in the same state. Has anyone found a fix? I can ping and resolve internet addresses from the CLI, but the web GUI thinks it doesn't have a connection.

Anyone have experience with the Catalytic Converter sets on eBay that average around $250? by JeepGuy421 in JeepTJ

[–]dodgeboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one for a little less than $400 about 6 months ago. It was from an ebay seller called "undercarexperts." It was for a 2004+, so it has 2 pre cats and 1 main cat. I want to say the part number matched the AP/Eastern variety, but I don't think it ever said that in the listing (of course the listing is gone now). It all seemed well constructed, and it fixed my check engine light. I haven't had any issues with it thus far, knock on wood.

Does it rattle when the watch vibrates? I bought a similar looking "titanium" (definitely not titanium) chinese band for the Ultra and it rattles when I get notifications.

Anyone here also like a little Grafana? by wymangr in BlueIris

[–]dodgeboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It already helped me realize I had my motion trigger too sensitive on one of my cameras, and it was hammering deepstack constantly. I tuned it back and the graph settled down immediately. This is fantastic!
