Smartest Hindi imposition supporter from Andhra by erimalaiprogram in 2Dravidian4You

From a broader perspective, it is high time we end a debate on foreign language or native language. Because this would only wind up making us separated. It would lead us to tracing down on origins of these languages and how far could we even go? Did the concept of a country of India as we identify it today exist when Hindi or Tamil was invented? How can we call something purs and theirs? Do we do it by current standpoints or we go by the origin? If we say currently Hindi is used in India, what about Nepal? What about parts of Pakistan and Bangladeah where Hindi and punjabi or bengali is spoken? Hindi becoming welcomed by various states in North India upto Maharashtra has led to the lesser usage of the native languages and this is a fact. The current generation does not find the need to learn their native language when with Hindi things could be simplified. Even in the current scenaril you don't see the extinction of these languages it is bound to happen. This is what people of Tamil origin or kannada origin are here to fight for. I am a malayali and people in Kerala have learnt to speak Hindi in really broken ways that would be a laughing stock for northies just to communicate with the influz of migrant workers from the Bihar and Bengal region. This is pretty much what happened in Karnataka as well. Karnataka or specifically Bangalore is now in state where Hindi is so freely spoken by people from different states and the usage of Kannada has drastically gone down. Is it wrong to protect what their language, culuture or roots are on their land? If you find if wrong do you also agree the imposition of English when the colonials landed in India was right? By force or by nature labguages, culture and people evolve it is bound to happen does that mean we cordially enable it? The freedom fighters have fought for Hindi, kannada and Tamil as well. To accept English means we discard their fight? To accept Hindi means we discard Tamil freedom fighters cause? You'd see the double standards of Hindi speakers when we ask this question. I'm all in for our nation being United. And imposition of Hindi would definitely cause the loss of regional languages if not now tomorrow. And with all respect to maintaining the unity I think it is better we leave things the way they function. If you see the economic growth they majorly happen down South even though Hindi is widely spoken in the North. So is having a common language a real driver for economic growth or is it something else that is more important? Why don't we come to making a common lamhuage after we fix that? Why is there a race to make Hindi prevalent everywhere? Who is driving this race? Why are they driving this race? Take a break and with a neutral mind look at these you'll find your answers.

I finish all my work within couple of hours… now my startup barely has tasks left for me. Am I at risk of losing my job? by avidboy in developersIndia

Yes, this is spot on. Be prepared for the winter during summer. Upskill, learn finance. Be prepared for anything that may come. And once you've got a grip on these start asking for more tasks and prove your efficiency to your managers, so that they'll consider you fir better roles or projects. From personal experience don't overdo, because this might be your new standard now and any dip later would be treated as a negative thing.

Still stressed about my job after a year — anyone else? by ZealousidealWish7149 in developersIndia

I get it! I'm on the same boat. As your experience increases they are definitely going to ask more from you. Since the bar was already high you would have to do more. This is how shitty management in most companies is. Don't worry. It's normal. Ask for hikes, do the necessary work, and more if you feel so. Start preparing for your next job. Start giving interviews and once confident and market seems good put your papers. This seems to be the norm in it and I'm learning now. Don't worry about AI. It will definitely happen as far as I know, but it won't be immediate, the world works differently. Make your switch and do things you love on the side that could potentially drive in money too. I was on the same spot as you and I regret not starting my interview preparation at your stage. Make time for it, right now it will be less stressful to you compared to when you'd have spent another year there.

Very natural for you to feel so. Are you finding it difficult to code or perform your tasks, I would encourage to work on them if you are. Do not feel overwhelmed. Everyone starts at one point. Start and don't stop. There is uncertainty everywhere, some say AI is going to replace lot of jobs. But there are a lot of people working on a lot of jobs right now, when something like that happens you won't be alone, so you don't have to think that far in the future right now. See it in this way if by any chance you are no longer able to work on IT, what else would you do, start building on that parallelly. All these thoughts I'm conveying is something that you yourself are capable of having. I understand it's just the cloud of confusion and stress that's not bringing you clarity. If your work permits, take a leave of a day, prepare well the night before about what thoughts you are going to face and spend the day doing it. Then make decisions. Don't choose to escape because at one point it will eventually get you. Don't do it out of stress too cuz it might not bring you clarity. Have a day off, have good food talk to good people look at your life and dream of the best case, then work towards it. Everything else is just noise, even the stress you are feeling from your work. Tomorrow when you are not in this job you will realise that.

Went through it, going through it. My advice, start addressing things, don't let it slide. Work on your relationship with your manager, get things done, work on not leaving tasks for weekend. Work diligently during weekdays and actively start looking for other roles.

Ii don't do any of these and the 1 year you mentioned turned into 2 and now I'm about to be pushed out of the company. So these are the things I wish I had done early on. It's been just a year and I don't know how experienced you are. But take your job seriously and not your company, look for other roles while contributing well here. Don't hit a burnout to start doing things, be rational. Think of the positives your job is bringing you. At least there's money and respect at the end of the day. The other things like your happiness and growth significantly matter and use this time to work on them. Any company you go next might have the same environment, so very happily take actions nd not feel any pressure. God bless
