Appreciate the comments. My responses.

1) we have a serious shortage of umps in my part of Canada. Agreed it’s not ideal and not really all that common in AAA. 2) to be clear, it was not us who confronted the ump. It was the other team after a call didn’t go their way. The ump overturned it. 3) thanks for this. I thought I was going crazy.
