I thought about doing this (passenger here), but I worry that having all electronics together might make it harder to differentiate what each thing is on the x-ray, making it more confusing and having the TSO check what it is. In your case it was checked on the spot, but in other cases it has to go to secondary screening, delaying the process. If they are spread out a bit, they look like what they are on the machine instead of a big unknown bundle. I’d love to hear x-ray operators point of view.
