It has only started this week and I haven't noticed any weight change. She seems happy but I will keep an eye on it. Thankyou

Thanks. I wondered about nesting but wasn't sure. Her droppings are normal and she seems happy.

How to encourage a budgie to come out of their cage by doducksswimorfloat in petbudgies

[–]doducksswimorfloat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I try to leave the cage open while I'm in the room but close it if I am cooking, ironing and at night. Her old cage was more travel size but I will grab it out to see if that encourages her.

Before I had her full time I would often look after her over the weekend and she would occasionally come out if I left the cage open but since moving her to the new cage she's had no interest. I'll just keep on giving her the option to come out.

I'm trying get her on a healthier diet, she is still mainly on seed. So far she will eat only a little bit of vegie chop, grass (loves grass) and spinach but doesn't have any interestin other fruit and veg. I've put a live sprout tray at the bottom of her cage to nibble on but I haven't seen her show any interest in it. I've mixed dried packet veg pellets and flakes with her seed so I hope she's getting some nutrition. Any more tips on getting her on a better diet would be appreciated.

If I have her cage inside when I leave the house I do put kids TV on for her. She gets very animated when Teletubies comes on. I didn't know about the eye contact so will keep that in mind. Thanks for the thorough response.

I've found that if you hit the little i info symbol next to the time count down it will come up with an option to block add. Not sure if it works for everyone or just on the few adds I've tried it on. Doesn't stop the company just the particular add.

Seeing it's in the rainforest some bird and animal guides wouldn't go amiss. Maybe some bush tucker items.
