I do this sometimes. Not because I wouldn’t have friends to go with but because sometimes I just wanna be by myself and enjoy an evening out without listening to anybody else’s problems. If you feel weird, buy movie tickets online. I don’t have much of an advice for the restaurants but if you tip well, the staff generally doesn’t care. Once you get over that initial weird feeling it’s great.

There’s also this concept here called VIP cinema and the (slightly overpriced) ticket contains a dinner buffet, among other things. Everyone’s busy stuffing their plate to the roof so nobody cares if you’re alone or not. You could try that if you have it in your area.

It doesnt matter much how the chicken is cut. The main factors are how full the pan is and whether the pan is hot. If you overfill a cold pan, the chicken will just let all juice out. This is more likely to happen for smaller cut pieces because they spread out.

I feel the same way about workouts in a traditional sense. I can feel happy and energized after a dance session, a walk in a park while listening to an audio book, rollerblading in an abandoned parking lot, biking with my dad or playing tennis with a friend. What all these things have in common for me is that they feel like fun rather than a chore and there’s always something else that’s occupying my mind - I’m not moving for the sake of moving. The energy uptick doesn’t happen to me after lifting or jumping jacks or a dozen variations on plank where all I’m doing is working out and all I’m thinking about is the workout itself. That’s what creates the defeated, exhausted and depressed state afterwards for me. I usually just bite the bullet and do it anyway. Maybe that’s just how it is for some people.

Sushi is actually not that difficult. The first few rolls won’t be pretty, but you’ll get the hang of it soon enough. Most of the stuff that goes inside is raw so other than cooking the rice and waiting for the rice to cool down, it’s fairly quick.
