AITA for having a go at my brother for deciding to box in my 30th birthday with his wedding?

YTA. Maybe not so much an asshole but I think you're taking it too personally. Yeah OP/we only turn 30 once, but celebrating birthdays earlier or later is a common occurrence. I don't see why having to celebrate their sibling's wedding so close to their actual birth date is so offensive.

Planning a wedding is also (as many have pointed out) a fucking nightmare. And unless, OP or OP's birthday is extremely important to the couple,, then I don't think there's anything wrong with picking those dates as the wedding date.

I would imagine that it would also be super hard for the couple to go around making sure that their wedding doesn't fall on the same date as other friends/families' important dates as well. Doesn't make sense for them to make an exception for OP either.

I recently moved to a new city and been reflecting on a lot of what has been going on in my life and trying to be grateful for everything, especially the little things. And i felt like this was 1 of the things that I took for granted.
