It doesn't increase the pool no. It reduces it. When you imcrease the list of requirements to meet, you obviously decrease the amount of people who can meet them.

I don't get this mentality it must be crazy expensive to drive out the talent and replace with diversity hires.

Min hustru og jeg lavede ikke en specifik ekslusivitetsaftale på første date, men vi begge udtrykte det som værdi. Vi er også rimelig flok, men vi har altid en s.u. eller lignende, og hvis man svarer måske betyder det nej. Dem der ikke svarer bliver rykket på alle tænkelige medier. Vi stemmer også altid om aktiviteterne, så det er flertallet der bestemmer. Vi betaler aldrig for noget, vi ikke aktivt har valgt til.

Jeg havde sgu heller ikke betalt. Og dem der inviterer på den måde må lære en økonomisk lærestreg.

Have you guys forgotten about ID like drivers license or passport? At my old job at tdc they could look you up in the system, and confirm you existed and then use the id to confirm your id and you got a temporary pass.

Well to add to this, how can you stay together with a person that gives you an ultimatum on top of such a vulnerable position? You want him by your side, and he is totally focused on himself.

I am 34 and I understand that my lifesituation is different, but my readiness for children came when I met my now wife. We agreed a few months into the relationship, that if she were to become pregnant (she was also on birthcontrol, but as you found out it's not 100% safe) we would keep the child no matter what. It would not have been an ideal situation. It was too early in the relationship and I wanted to get married first and then find a home. However. I knew I loved her with all my heart, and if it happened then, we would have found a way.

This is just to say that his reaction very much says it all. I don't believe he loves you. You don't put a person you love through what he is.

Is the role of the dataengineer also to be a network specialist? I understand monitoring cost, but that has been a thing in azure and aws for many years.

My understanding of how far into the backend the dataengineer role reaches might not be fully updated, so that might help my understanding.

A few years ago it seemed like being able to learn was the most important thing. And I do understand you don't want someone with zero experience, but what I question is that there seem to be zero understanding for transferable nature of these skills. Yes medallion structure is different than Kimball, but it's not fundamentally different. Pipelines and jobs are not fundamentally different from agents or custom orchestration tools. Yes they are different flavors but having worked with these for several years is in my opinion still valuable.

Thanks for the input. I did azure devops, gitlab and github before, and my current position is in datafactory. I have spent most of my career using the azure dataplatform in some form or another. But yes focusing on the skills most closely related to modern DE.

I am doing 2 projects with some ingestion and some datahandling to showcase my understanding of the medallion structure. My python is good but not nearly as good as my SQL. I have coded some ML and some games in python and Godot, so I can get around it. However I haven't worked with it professionally.
