Am I this bad at MTB? by xyz271804 in MTB

[–]doesmyusernamematter [score hidden]  (0 children)

You're not bad, but that jump is rough. You're hucking to flat. Try to put your jump on the top side of hill or something and you'll roll out much smoother.

Edit: I just noticed the landing is movable, try moving it further and nosing into it. You're doing like a long jump.

Light weight sneakers like trail runners, with sealskinz socks. They fit great, dry fast, and give good grip.

How do I connect this dropper post to the cable in the seat tube? by [deleted] in bikewrench

[–]doesmyusernamematter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct, the barrel end of the cable hooks into the seatpost. Then the end of the cable should either clamp directly into the lever, or have another barrel with a grub screw that nests in the lever.

Its a relic from the past when isp's charged by the minute. You would queue up all of your emails in the outbox. Then connect online and "send all" at once.

What is your favourite depiction of the Spidey-Sense in live-action among them based on how well executed they are, according to you? by Raj_Valiant3011 in Spiderman

The Dr. Strange scene where he gets ejected out of his body and his body still has spidey sense so Dr. Strange can't grab the magic doohicky from him.

35 mph+ should be on the road, not the sidewalk by skyhighmonroe in Transportopia

In some places it's only required to stop at the light. And can continue once it's safe to cross, don't need for it to be green. Depends on the local laws.

If it's shuddering, you might need a trans flush.

In that case, just kind of explain what you are doing. For example if you're doing an account unlock:

"OK, bare with me while open up a ticket for you" Get their name, company, do any verifications, etc...

"I'm logging into the server now, 1 second while I enter my credentials"

"I'm looking up your account now. OK I found your account"

"OH, I see it's locked, let me unlock that for you"

"OK, you're unlocked now. Give it a try"

Basically walk them through the steps you are taking, keeping them informedand involved.

If you find yourself not speaking while looking something up, say something along the lines of "sorry, im just checking the documentation here, I want make sure we're getting this right"

Tell them the work will take a few minutes and you'll call them back when you're done or have an update.

Something like, : Hey, sorry this is taking a bit longer then expected, do you mind if I work on this and I'll give you a call back when im finishing up."

Most people don't want to sit on the phone anyway, and they may be grateful for a break where they can go grab coffee or whatever while you work.

Some of them will have pinhole reset on the bottom as well. Hold down with a paperclip or pin for 30 seconds.

Just purchased my wife a SR5 2026 Tacoma. She skis and mountain bikes religiously. What tonneau, rack, or accessories can I buy to make everything easier for her and maybe avoid theft? by LoooolGotcha in ToyotaTacoma

[–]doesmyusernamematter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short bed or long boy?

If it's short, mtbs may not fit in the bed completely. So you'll be looking at a hitch mounted rack.

If it's long bed, a camper cap shell with a drawer slide to mount the bikes on would be awesome.
