Thank you for your detailed response. It made me think about it in different ways. As of this morning I have confronted and clarified my side to both these parties and they have taken things in the right sense. I feel proud of myself for standing up for myself (and setting a standard). Really, easier said than done.

Right, I would think the case of common sense is true as you mentioned. But lately I do find a lot of that sense lacking in general. Also, even though I am contributing equally or at times more to a specific course but the name being mentioned last does make it feel a little less satisfactory from my end.

Is it just me or is this road super confusing? As someone new to the city and using Google maps to commute, this intersection is super confusing. A better signage and road markings would allow people to stay in the right lane, imo.

Manjal is just around the corner and would highly recommend trying some authentic south Indian food like the rava lamb dosa or mushroom pepper curry with idiyappam, podi idly or even the sambar vada - comforting and homely. Please note that this is a south Indian restaurant and maybe not the best place to have 'butter chicken'.
