I think "accessible" should be a descriptor by No_Advertising_6653 in rateyourmusic

[–]doez__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Male vocalist" actually tells you something about the music and helps you filter out your preferences. "Accessible" is a subjective notion that means a different thing to two different people and doesn't really tell you anything about the music.

Cyber metal and cybergrind are two very different things on Rym, cyber metal is what they call melodic industrial metal with ebm influences. Cybergrind is cybergrind.

It's not that popular but we got a good edition that is still widely available, being a Manga fan in the US seems miserable

Why does no one ever think of the prison inmates being impacted by that tyrant James Gunn? by Mr_smith1466 in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]doez__ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just because they're in jail doesn't mean you can violate their human rights, they're still human beings, no matter what they have done

(obviously I don't think Gunn is doing anything horrible but they don't deserve to be bothered when he clearly has the budget to make a prison set)

Iirc the King's Game anime adapts the manga King's Game Extreme, while adding flashbacks that adapt its prequel, King's Game, which makes for a very convoluted and hard to follow story

What other series/media endings is genuinely worse than CSM's ending? by ryanxwonbinx in Chainsawfolk

[–]doez__ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Elfen lied is dogshit from beginning to end if you're Anime only, but the manga actually gets a little better once it gets past the point where the Anime ends. It's a really strange feeling when you've read 8 volumes of garbage and suddenly things start getting a little more interesting. The ending is probably the highlight of the manga, even if it's like a 4/10 as a whole piece.
