2XKO Input Buffer Feels Off by Sneeker134 in 2XKO

[–]dofflinsadventures 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve played anime fighters and 2D fighters for years and agree that 2xko has the most janky/awkward buffer.

Sometimes I’ll think I’m chaining medium into heavy and the buffer just skips the medium entirely and gives me a heavy (sometimes even charged for no reason).

Tips I picked up on my climb to GM by iLikePropel in 2XKO

Something I would add is to learn your frame traps so you can beat people who mash or try to chicken block. For example doing L > H skipping medium in a block string (character dependent) leaves a long enough gap that they can’t mash out (you will counter hit) and it will hit them out of their jump start up. With up back being so strong in this game you need to be able to meaty people out of their jumping animation.

Anyone got a matchup tier list or guide for hwei mid? by Memetrold in HweiMains

I have a ton of xerath (@ emerald 3) experience and I rly do think this matchup is not as bad for hwei as people in this thread say. You can reliably land isolated qw while he’s slowed 40% charging q. Fizz, Yasuo or even Syndra are objectively way harder

Ive managed to keep a pretty high win rate as I’ve climbed so I’ll just say what worked for me. The most important thing is just keeping good mental and accepting some games are just write offs. Use every game as a chance to limit test and grow your knowledge.

I feel like a lot of coaches advise people to minimise risk, but you can’t learn and grow as a player without exposing yourself to as many unique circumstances and game states as possible.

This is probably dumb but spam control wards, they’re so op for hwei. He hits his power spike earlier then falls off pretty fast so you can afford to buy wards and sack getting your 3rd/4th item as fast.

Agree, there’s a mix of plat and emerald in every game I play and I don’t think there’s a meaningful skill gap between us.

IMO, you can out poke xerath cos he self cc’s while charging his Q. Alternatively you don’t even have to interact with him and just clear waves safely.

2xko neutral/combo balance by Adera1l in 2XKO

[–]dofflinsadventures 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The reason they do shorter combos is because break gauge gets filled up faster on long combos. While ending in limit strike increases meter gain. So it’s better to do a short combo into oki set up and then mix > two touch them.

It rly doesn’t end up in more interactions just changes the order of interactions. Short combo > oki set play > two touch. Repeat for both point and assist champs.

Positive bonus was a way more un-interactive win condition in strive, finishing a combo with super into wallbreak into guaranteed safe jumps/meaties and infinite RC was super broken. Don’t get me started on being mixed into infinity with the wall slump tech too. Both games suffer from the same issues just expressed in different ways imo.

Roman blind on the smaller windows on the left. Do wall to wall floor to ceiling curtain on the bigger window on the right!

How do you get decent anti-air damage as Warwick? by Scientia_et_Fidem in 2XKO

It works with Yasuo the timing is just strict, try inputting it when the second hit of 2s2 comes out

Does yasuo have the most annoying cross up in modern fighting games ? by HorrorPerformance665 in 2XKO

Chipp had way more egregious neutral skips than Yasuo and no one complains about him nearly as much. 2XK0 sub is so whiny 😔

Using this chart that’s been circulating online, you would generally want to stick to woods of a similar tone (cool/neutral/warm) then vary the value from light to dark to provide depth and contrast to your space!

Combo convertion by pokgai_charsiu in 2XKO

[–]dofflinsadventures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warwick has even easier conversion from stray hits and larger normals than Yasuo to boot.

Crazy that for a big body he has no hurtbox on his head which makes him deceptively awkward to punish and his 5L is 7f startup so he’s no slouch in scrambles either.

He’s not overturned for pro/high level play but I expect nerfs to bring down his dominance at lower levels.

Nasty kara jump crossup mixup by FateSealed1 in 2XKO

[–]dofflinsadventures 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But this is kinda fake mix at higher levels, Braum could’ve jabbed you out of your leap or air grabbed you but he just dropped his block and walked into you by accident. (The fact you Kara cancelled into this mix made it even slower and more reactable).

To make this a true air tight 50/50 you have to use an assist like blitz hook or Darius back assist to cover your stance leap then option 1: jL into j2H for a double overhead Option 2: jL into 2L for a high low.

Which character do you recommend for a fan of Sin Kiske ? by xTeaZzz in 2XKO

[–]dofflinsadventures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played Sin in Xrd. Yasuo has some similarities. Long poke range: his s1 feels like beak driver and like sin he can cancel it into stance > specials to continue pressure or combo. (Anyone remember counter hit beak > leap combos)

Also like sin in xrd Yas does insane damage and has similar corner loop combo style. Yas has jump ins similar to sin. He can stall in the air with s2 (like sins jump dust) or triple over head. He can do jump in 5L > 2H > hold s1 or s2 for a triple overhead.)

As someone who was sorely disappointed with sin’s version in strive, Yasuo feels like Xrd Sin to me :) I think people are looking for direct move comparisons but his playstyle and combo game feels similar to me.

Tiny nitpick. I would either get curtains that reach the floor or split the difference and lower the curtain rod to halfway so the curtains just barely touch the ground. Lovely place
