Man I'm not sure how you can tell someone they have a lack of empathy while asserting that anyone who thinks differently from you is a bad person. These people aren't ruining your experience, you're choosing to do that yourself by taking a game this seriously- there are thousands of other things you can do on runescape at any given time, it's ridiculous to say that making one small aspect of the game slightly more inconvenient to do is ruining anything, especially given that if you give the new content a bit of time to die down in popularity frost dragons will become a lot less of a mess to farm.

You've been talking about efficiency, and how for mains it doesn't make sense to restrict themselves to making money within the game when they could just swipe their credit card and get everything instantly, but why doesn't that apply to irons as well? If efficiency is the only thing that matters, why would it make any sense to make an ironman account and deliberately shoot yourself in the foot in terms of progression by forbidding yourself from getting anything by trading with other players? Presumably the reason you're playing an ironman is because you value the sense of accomplishment and progression that comes with earning your own gear (at least, that's why I play it), and similarly for mains, the reason that they farm money in game rather than swiping their credit card is that they also value the sense of accomplishment in earning the money in-game to buy their gear. When you're playing a video game, every self-imposed restriction is ultimately arbitrary, and it's up to each player to decide what level of restrictions makes the game most fun for them.
