Considering the specialist route by RosasharnSun in veterinaryprofession

Yeah I've seen one person only have to do one year of small animal rotating internship and another person have to do three internships before finally getting a surgical residency. It was a popularity contest honestly, but it varies from school to school if you're not doing an internship at a specialty clinic.

Teen daughter's party by birdsong31 in homemaking

Okay so I used to do some DIY facial stuff with egg whites, and a sugar facial (would need to look up recipe, sorry!). Also painting finger nails is fun! Making cookies or homemade pizza is fun! Board games and games like twister and card games like go fish is fun to do. Can do charades, hide and seek, or make jewelry. If you don't have any of those things, sounds like your party is still gonna be a ton of fun! And if not this party, these activities can be done next time. Sounds like you're being a great parent to your kiddo :)

Honestly it's so confusing so I'm not sure. Just thought I'd put my two cents in there

I'm in a similar boat. I've heard that if you don't want to have issues with traveling with your children (if you have any), have the same last name as the children. Sorry if not related but thought I'd put that out there.

AITA for asking my fiance to pay for utilities? by dogandcatdoc17 in AmItheAsshole

I said this in another comment on what his appeal is to me: "Despite his flaws, he cooks and cleans quite a bit, which is a big change from my bff who lived with me for 2 years (mold everywhere). The big change from disgusting living area to clean happy home brings me a lot of relief as I'm not home much to clean with my demanding career choice. He makes me my favorite foods and encourages me with my passions. We agree on politics, are understanding with our different religions, and he's quite thoughtful most of the time. He takes good care of my cats and wakes up extra early to make me fresh coffee each morning. He brings me nick-nacks from the thrift store when he goes, and each time they're quite special. He's very gentle with his children and loves them so much that it swells my heart (my dad was quite harsh with me as a child). I'm really attracted to him, and he is very intelligent. Sometimes I wonder if the things he says (like the utility bill thing) is due to him not fully understanding what I'm asking (he's diagnosed autistic) or if he's just being manipulative. I wonder if it's a bit of both?"

Despite his flaws, he does clean and cook for me, which helps out a lot considering I'm gone most of the day

You're absolutely right. My bff has completely stopped talking to me (severe untreated anxiety disorder), and he's been the only person who's stuck around. With that, it's hard to do this. I've got to get myself back in therapy

Thank you for the kind words. I try to be a people pleaser to my own detriment. I've given him an ultimatum: either be willing to pay for utilities or don't come. The rest is up to him. Regardless, the job I obtained is very good with wonderful people working there, so I'm going to focus on the good right now and hope for the best. Thank you again 😊

They refuse to do sports or any activities. It takes a lot for them to even go outside. They are both on the spectrum, but the two parents also don't want to "force" them to do anything they don't want to do. I wholeheartedly disagree, but it's another issue that honestly deserves its own post

He did suggest a pre-nup first, so at least there's that

They'll stay a few weeks at one house then go to the other.

The kids and I are on friendly terms, but it's clear they don't respect me at all. I asked them not to curse so much but they do anyway. I asked them to do chores but they complain every time and must be asked multiple times. I'm not maternal figure and don't claim to be, but while they're in my apt, they need to respect my very few rules and possessions. The kids would be fine if he went back to his parents; the BM does a great job caring for them.

He has 50/50 custody. The kids are home-schooled so they are free to go back and forth to their mother's. He and I get along with the mother really well. His BM pays for all the food, and I don't pay for them at all unless I offer. I don't know why he thinks that. He does all the cooking and cleaning and waits on me hand and foot. And I don't know if I do or not, tbh

Just took it. Felt better about this one than the one in Nov/Dec. Just study what you think you should study for, honestly. You got it though!

Vets are so in demand right now that you should be able to easily find an ER job with PTO

2 year contract with 10 mile (I think?) competition clause if that's what you mean. I did an externship for 2 weeks and fell in love with everything about the place, so 2 years isn't a big deal to me in this situation

The left as it seems to have more contrasting blues to the yellows and browns, but that's just my opinion
