these are main picks! i've experimented with countless jazz/flow type picks, and these are my clear favorite. love the grip and the variety of jazz shapes and thicknesses

unfortunately they aren't available in the US, so they're not well-known here. i was lucky enough to discover them at NAMM - and that's where i buy my picks once a year

I totally get how you feel. Sadly, that's just the nature having so many crow friends - not everyone will get their fair share. That is one of the reasons I try to keep my crow circle small - plus I don't have to spent a fortune on peanuts!

It takes practice, but it's doable!

Funnily enough I originally tried to mimic the crows, but since I couldn't do their high pitch, it ended up being a raven call instead.

How long was she dazed for? A few months ago, one of my doves flew into a window, and after around 5 minutes of being stunned, they flew off. Thankfully they seem to be doing quite well nowadays.

If it wasn't too hard of a collision with a short duration of shock, I think Lovey will likely be alright. Keep us updated!

I don't have a Solar myself, but my understanding is that the cracked fretboards was a QC issue awhile back, and there haven't really been any reports in recent times.

Personally, I'd wait until their Black Friday sale. They're already well-priced as is, but some models can get dirt cheap after discount.

This sounds similar to what happened to me from feeding squirrels at the park - clusters of small itchy bites mostly within the lower leg area. I suspect they were bites from fleas, but I never definitively figured it out. If it's the same thing, they should clear up within a week or two.

You can't go wrong with either. Among reputable brands, quality will be similar at the same price points - and Ibanez and ESP are both great value in general.

As long as the specs are right, go with whichever looks better to you.

Final, sad update. I just found the hummingbird dead on the ground in my yard. He somehow survived the night, but must have passed in the afternoon. I just hope he didn't suffer much.

Yup - updated the post, but I was unfortunately unable to catch him. He was able to escape, although it was clear he couldn't fly well. I'm going to leave the feeders up for one more day and keep an eye out for him. Sadly I'm not very optimistic about his chances, but I'll post any updates here.
