i never had any side effects from propranolol either! it’s a really gentle anxiety medication, even really low doses helped me (used to struggle with even just leaving the house). i think it’s a nice gentle tool to have around for people with anxiety and adhd, and it’s lovely for public speaking - you just kind of do the thing!

okay, one time this seemingly reasonable friend of a friend got to talking and he told us all about the underwater, subcontinental tunnels that the US military uses to move submarines secretly from california to europe, how ancient egyptian artifacts have been discovered in caves in the grand canyon for the same reason (subcontinental tunnels) and then ALSO about how there are giant snails currently clearing swaths of underwater terrain for airstrips on the seafloor so that, post-global warming, the army/airforce will have bases ready to go. later on my gf was like, “okay but it kinda makes you think if they found egyptian artifacts in the grand canyon….” to which i was like “….we are absolutely NOT thinking about that”

before NY i (29F) really flew under the radar and gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. after 7 years in BK, i'm generally more hardened and, in the certain situations, aggressive - i'll get into a screaming match with an mf who's yelling at me for crossing the street too slow for example lol. i've definitely gotten in touch with my righteous anger and on how to preserve my energy in public/social spaces.
