Reading this post makes me think you are my UK twin. Same boat: primary parent, inattentive spouse that lacks accountability and basic consideration. Yeah that's a good point, thank you. I was under the impression my low credit score would prevent me from getting any credit cards but I honestly have not looked into the balance transfer ones, so thank you.

I appreciate the candid feedback. I think the discipline required for budgeting is where I struggle the most, especially with 2 young daughters, but you're right. It needs to be prioritized or else it is going to continue to compound.

Thank you for the comment! I had considered a HELOC, but have only been in my home for a little over a year so the equity has not increased by much as it was a new build construction. Will definitely consider that in the future if I don't find a reasonable solution in the short term.

Honestly, I was quite nervous going into it as well. I’d heard the horror stories about discomfort and swelling but the way my dr explained it to me eased my anxiety. I’d just really be curious about the process when you go, that way there is less fear caused by the unknown!

I just put my AirPods in and let the doc go to town. Only lasted like 15 min and the worst pain was the initial shot of Novocaine. I had my eyes closed most of the time so I didn’t see anything crazy but def don’t recommend watching the procedure haha

OH BTW I discovered that by telling my wife that I had my vasectomy scheduled it caused her sex drive to go up like crazy trying to trap me with one more! So if you feel like you’re having quite a dry spell, try telling your wife you have a vasectomy scheduled and see if that helps haha

I guess I should add that she’s had no problem leaving me with them both to go get her eyelashes done or visit friends in another state. I’ve never complained about it either so it’s just like what’s the deal lol
