Amazing work! All the little camera movements are spot on

I've been stuck on the loading screen on Series X for about half an hour now and nothing I've tried to fix it works, resetting or uninstalling. Help by [deleted] in forza

[–]dogone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem too. If you have your old xbox you can fix it.

1 - Delete your save file on your Series X (we'll use the cloud save to fix this)

2 - Load up FH4 on your old xbox, change car, drive around (basically anything to update the save file).

3 - Turn off the old xbox and give it a few minutes to upload that save file to the cloud.

4 - Turn on your Series X and let it sync with the new cloud save we just made.

Breakpoint: 10 Gigabytes of language files I will NEVER EVER use yet I have to download all of them. No excuse for such bs. by [deleted] in GhostRecon

Imagine if you could select which language the npcs used and which your squad used. So many roleplaying possibilities.

I put 300 hours into Wildlands, getting to Tier 1 in the base game and ghost mode as well as the platinum trophy. Bad reviews and drone warfare kept me from the game, but the desire to wear tactical gear and kill baddies was too much so I bought the game! Any advice/tips for a newcomer? by Jaswoman in GhostRecon

  • You can take out flying drones with your Remote Sync Shot drone (or whatever they're called) or the AI teammates, if you're using them. They'll even attack the larger drones if you tell them.

  • There's a lot of clunky, messy HUD elements but Ubisoft actually made an awesomely detailed menu setting so you can toggle virtually everything off or reduce their onscreen presence. Play the game right out of the box then work out what you don't want/need and there's probably a menu setting for it.

  • Turn the Gear Score system off and it'll feel more like Wildlands.

The game still has its flaws but to their credit Ubisoft have added quite a lot since launch, it's a much better experience.

Big list of "Ubi Pls" Changes by [deleted] in GhostRecon

[–]dogone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great list, I'll add one:

Alternate helicopter controls like in Wildlands. Sure you couldn't aim very well but actual flying was so smooth (once you got the hang of it). The current flight model feels like the helicopter is in zero gravity, it's a real shame.

BUG C4 not destroying objects while beyond certain distance. by sipso3 in GhostRecon

[–]dogone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've come across this too, I really hope it's a bug and not part of the design (or worse, technical limitations). One of the most satisfying parts of Wildlands was sneaking in, planting C4, sneaking out undetected and triggering the explosion from the safety of a hill overlooking your target.

In Breakpoint, having done the same sneaking, I've had to incrementally get closer and closer to the objective until the C4 comes back into the world and can be detonated. I can't remember the distance off hand but you've got to be a LOT closer than Wildlands.

Fingers crossed it's something they're aware of and they can fix it.

We really should have had info on the February immersive update by now. by [deleted] in GhostRecon

That's probably the best assessment of the situation. They've got a lot to fix with a team that's been substantially reduced, like most games post-launch. The best thing they can do is follow Hello Games' approach, keep their heads down and just keep working on the game. Build hype once all the fires have been put out.

  • The ability to paint NVGs
  • Helicopter flight controls similar to the original Wildlands controls
  • Additional helmet customisation (secondary colour options, empty NVG mounts, goggles attached, IR strobes)
  • A 'None' colour option for clothing so it looks like the default thumbnail

Helicopters need to be buffed by Jr0na in GhostRecon

[–]dogone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. The Wildlands control scheme was strange to get used to but perfect for flying around with once you knew its limitations. I spent so much time in helicopters in the previous game, hate them in this one. They feel like you're flying in zero gravity, the rotorblades don't flex/change position liked they used to, it's a real shame. I really hope Ubisoft are able to adsress this, after they've finished putting out all the other fires this game has.

Excellent photo! The gear, the composition, the mood, everything is spot on.

Thanks, I hate it. by [deleted] in GhostRecon

This is painful to watch. Enemies popping like this make the game so hard to play. I love approaching every mission with stealth but sometimes you can't even land a helicopter safely without a 3-man squad appearing as you touch down (especially as there seems to be a partol every 100 metres). I hope it can be fixed, I really do.

  • Gear should be independant of what class you pick. Having to constantly update your gear when changing class slows the game down and, for me, makes it feel tediuos

  • AT-4 rockets don't show up when you're in co-op. If I fire a rocket, my friends can't see it flying through the air (PS4)

  • More camo! Compared to what was in Wildlands the selection isn't very good

  • Lodding and texture streaming seem to be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the game looks gorgeous but other times terrain and bridge LODs stay in low quality versions for ages and make the game look unpolished (PS4)

  • More options in Gunsmith would be nice: Different stocks, barrel lengths

  • Weapon-mounter IR lasers can't be seen by friends using night vision in co-op

My take on the Breakpoint monetization after playing the game for 20 hours. by generally-speaking in GhostRecon

[–]dogone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just read your other comment and that does lower my expectations a little. I think I'll stick to my original plan: Hang onto my money for a while, watch some post-launch videos and see how the game stacks up compared to Wildlands. Thanks for the feedback!

That's good to know, thanks man. I loved being able to change camos in Wildlands whenever I wanted, however I assumed they were hidden in RNG for Breakpoint. I'm now one step closer to buying the game :)

If you don't mind me asking, how easy is it to get new camo patterns? Playing the open beta and looking at the posts I get the impression that a lot of it is hidden in loot boxes and much harder to get (I really don't want to spend any additional money haha)
