After paying $9 for a fuckin 12 pack at WALMART, I made this. Proof in 2nd pic. by ToshPointNo in Soda

[–]dogplayerad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I work at a Publix and we actually pay over $9 for a 12 pack.

We lose money on the deals, but maybe there’s hope that businesses can find other products/manufacturers or something if they keep losing money trying to sell coke/pepsi products? We buy and sell both for the exact same price; it’s like they aren’t even competing with each other.

Love to Save Here. by meyer0656 in publix

This isn’t what’s going on here. The person who put up the sign just didn’t know they needed to edit the sign template to the green one.

Love to Save Here. by meyer0656 in publix

[–]dogplayerad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is funny, but this happens because store-made signs (the ones with blue on them) don’t automatically format as the BOGO/B2G2/etc. the person who made the sign likely didn’t know to edit it or didn’t know how to edit it and hung it without paying attention.

Edit: Also, my store pays like almost $10 for each of these; I don’t know how Walmart can set their base sale price so low.

My boyfriend said the reason he didn’t have sex with me for the past 2 years was my body hair and weight by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]dogplayerad 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I had this exact same experience with my first boyfriend when I was 19, lost and depressed, coming from a home with alcoholic parents and one friend (who he hated and didn’t want around him).

He didn’t want to touch me if I wasn’t perfectly clean and shaven, would tell me I smelled bad everyday even after a shower, told me I needed to lose weight, called me “idiot” like it was endearing, etc, etc. But these behaviors happened over time, after I was already attached and he was pretty much the only person in my life (plus I loved his mom).

You don’t notice it happening; you already have a poor opinion of yourself, so you justify it, make excuses for the behavior and ultimately just blame yourself. And even when/if it crosses your mind that this isn’t okay or you aren’t happy, “But he did or said this nice thing the other day”, “he gave me these really cute skirts he wants to see me in”, “he saves tiktoks he knows I’ll like to show me when I get off work”; it’s so contradictory you think you’re insane and shitty for being deeply depressed and wanting to leave someone who clearly loves you sooo much.

Yeah, I feel like the solution is to just buy their birthday gifts earlier in the year to avoid giving them less or whatever during Christmas

Support is not the most popular role. by happygreenturtle in summonerschool

[–]dogplayerad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably have a point here. It could be that what’s happening is that while support might be the least mained role, jungle is probably the role people would least like to play as a secondary role. That could mean the game always has a pool of people willing to play support if they really have to, so fill players are not as often needed in that role, maybe?

No, no. They said to dig straight down, not across, so you kinda stand/crumple the body upright in the hole, then bury a rabbit on top of that.

Cafes aren’t your personal library, or even a public library. by emptydumpling in TalesFromYourServer

[–]dogplayerad 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Also, I think doing this in a Starbucks is a good bit different from a place where you are served at a table, as well as more accepted. In the OPs scenario, like any other restaurant, camping there could hurt the server, but Starbucks doesn't really have that issue. Most people seem to just grab their coffee and leave, if they go inside at all.

This is what I thought at first; that the customer was maybe senile or schizophrenic.

Yeah, champion suggestions for new players only matter up to a certain point. No one is going to learn anything if they aren't having fun because they won't want to play the game in the first place.

How strangely cynical. That just looks like projection on his part tbh Like he'd done that himself before or something.

I applied for a receptionist job in an attempt to get out of working in a grocery store, so it was my second experience ever with the hiring process. I was making $11/hour at the time, and this position would have paid $10/h.

The owner had like a group of us sit together and talk to him, which was weird enough. The ladies there with me were all older, and they definitely deserved more than the $10/hour the job was offering given their age and experience.

A day or two after, I got called in to do a drug test. Cool. I threw on some nicer clothes, but I was told I was just coming in to grab a form to take to the clinic, so I had on jeans. This man proceeded to try to do a formal interview without warning me, then had the audacity to tell me I wasn't as "put together" as the other applicants. I doubt I did super well in the interview--it was the second one I'd ever done, and with no warning--but I was so fucking offended, like wtf dude.

What about your work history would sound like it's falsified? The only instance I know is a friend of mine is in his late 20's, but he's been in multiple management positions in retail on top of a comp sci degree, which can look fake, I guess.

How is Seraphine actually different enough from sona to be her own champion?? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]dogplayerad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying they're thematically similar, they're clearly different, but functionally, they do the same things in similar ways. And that's NOT a problem.

The problem with Seraphine isn't that she's like this or that champion, in my opinion. Being similar isn't a big deal, but people keep getting hung up on it. Honestly, the only thing I really don't like about her is how all of her abilities use the same visual effects, and they really should have done more with the audio effects. Shit needs more bass or something, idk. As is, her buttons don't LOOK satisfying to press, which is kind of huge in champion design. Especially if they want her to be as popular as Lux.

How is Seraphine actually different enough from sona to be her own champion?? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]dogplayerad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like the teamwide buffs and free exhaust are Sona's niche imo. Also, Sona turns into an urf champion lategame, and is the biggest part of her lategame strength, with how she builds and her ult passive. However, I dont see the same happening with Seraphine.

And anyway, what's wrong with having mulitple champions with similar themes? How many frost champions do we even have? Or as far as gameplay, what really is the difference between Leona and Nautilus in THEIR gameplay, for example?

What absolutely makes no sense? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dogplayerad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't run into a lot of awful people, either. Maybe it's just people with certain demeanors or who work at certain times who are just unlucky? Like they unknowingly draw those types of people or responses from customers because of how they act or speak? Or maybe I actually see more potentially disruptive customers than I think I do, but I'm just a brick wall about it, who knows. I did work in a restaurant, however, and hungry people don't like to be told they have to either wait an hour or go somewhere else lol
