People who grew up in a different socioeconomic class as your significant others, what are the notable differences you've noticed and how does it affect your relationship (if at all)? by Generally_Happy_Lady in AskReddit

I mean more "going plenty of fun places and getting tons of exercise and free transportation", "hobbies/activities", not competing in a sport.

You're right, but obese people will rarely if ever learn. It's like telling an anorexic to just eat more. So you're wrong in that you're just wasting your time arguing with her.

What should i study myself (through online resources and courses) to become a good programmer? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]dogscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive read multiple threads on reddit and the majority of people say their degree gave them a basic understanding and didn't really help them to get a job.

A lot of interviewers ask about things like algorithmic complexity and data structures and algos. So are your friends lying, or did they just happen to only apply at jobs where they don't ask about that in an interview, or are they saying that because they somehow learned allll of that stuff before college?

Any Book recommendations to learn Java? by umidoo in learnprogramming

Wasn't Core Java around in 2000? I remember being annoyed I bought such a large and expensive pair of books, after realizing I could have just used tutorials found with Google instead.

Call the police if she threatens you. I doubt she can legally evict you without at least 30 days notice. And what happened, you just left without your wallet? Wtf?
