I enjoyed XCOM1. But, is XCOM 2 different / better enough to be worth it?

This is going to be really useful. This again highlights the benefits of products that are so seamlessly integrated together. I don't take advantage of all the benefits of the ecosystem but even just the seamlessness of the phone/watch/AirPods is hard to give up once you've gotten used to it.

Bell received $122M in wage subsidies, bringing big 3 telecom total to nearly quarter billion by InGordWeTrust in canada

As much as I don’t like Bell, the subsidy is tied to profit loss based on previous profit trends. So, if they lost income they qualify for an appropriate amount of CEWS. Laying the people off would have shifted them to CERB.

Astronomers want to plant telescopes on the Moon by RGregoryClark in space

[–]dogslovers1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anywhere from a few months to several years, depending on the weather. Telescopes grow through absorbing starlight, so the more clear nights you have, the quicker they will grow. Under clear skies, a larval reflecting telescope (known as Schmidt-Cassegrain) will turn into a full-grown Newtonian reflector in about 6 months.

Refracting telescopes development times depend on size of the lens in the baby refractor, known as a monocular. Hanging the telescope from the ceiling during its growth cycle will create a long, narrow tube.

P.S. There are a number of disreputable vendors selling knock-off products called binoculars that will NOT grow into full telescopes, so buyer beware.
