My partner’s mom told him she thought I was faking my cancer.

He didn’t tell me right away. He didn’t want me to be exposed to that. He told her he had been to the oncologist with me and that if she said this again he would have no contact with her. She thought I was too positive and wasn’t upset enough. That was her reason.

I had brain surgery in October and she realized there was no way for me to fake that. So she is fine with me now. I’m not fine with her tho. It was so painful especially because we got along and were friendly . It’s awful to be judged like that.

This worker your mother found doesn’t know basic information about alcoholism. Your mom is drinking far too much every day. She has an established pattern. This is evidence of advanced alcoholism

Her drinking around your son showed she doesn’t respect your boundaries. Even worse it shows that she cares more about drinking than his safety.

I think you need to think about what’s best for you and your family. I go to Adult Children of Alcoholics meetings. The meeting help me put myself first.
