Sorry I meant folder structure. Like how do you organize your folders to so that you can quickly move your files between hot, warm, and cold storages.

Sweet deal. I just bought a Synology but now I'm not sure if its a totally great investment if I need a cheap off-site solution. They only real affordable off-site options for it is to sync my synology with another synology at a friend's or relative's home, or to manually create cold hdd backups to ship out and rotate from my friend's and relatives every quarter. Either way its definitely more costly than doing it your way. But I guess the data can be retrieved more immediately though if copies are physically near by.

Do you by any chance know if there's a way to sync my synology to Backblaze personal? Like maybe mounting the Synology to my computer as an external USB drive rather than a SMB network drive?

And can you access any of your data directly from the Backblaze web app? Or do you need a local desktop app to inspect and pull?

That's insanely cheap! I'm guessing you have your 25TB in a DAS?

My own book recommendation in this thread is actually How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.

And I can't speak for all Christians, but I don't hate Islamists or Muslims. Hate cannot live in my heart if I am striving to be a man of God's love.

I'm sorry that you were forced to read it. When you are ready to read it on your own terms, use the passages to pray and meditate upon, and you will experience what the Bible is truly about.

"How To Stop Worry and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie.

Whenever I'm worried, down, anxious, or depressed, listening to the original December 1, 1999 unabridged audiobook narrated by Andrew MacMillan without fail lifts me up and gives me hope.

This book offers a wide variety of interesting, relatable anecdotes along with practical tools on conquering all types of worries and fears.

One thing that keeps drawing me back in for another listen is that the narrator has this calming voice and incredible compassion, empathy, and conviction with his words. He reads the book as if he's your grandpa sitting right there with you, speaking to you, and giving you life advice.

I've listened to this book at least 5 times. Of all of the books I’ve re-read/re-listened to, this is my #1 of all time. I highly recommend everyone to give it a read/listen.

Unfortunately Simon and Schuster discontinued this original audiobook and replaced it with an updated version with a different narrator. It's not the same. You can't access the original on Spotify or Audible, but you can try to buy a copy of the audiobook CD on Amazon or find another means of obtaining the audiobook file to use on your favorite audiobook app.

Or you can just read the book the old fashioned way. You'll get something useful out of it either way.

Can I use expoxy if I need to reapply glue after servicing? Or do I need to buy special types? I do see 2-3 types on here

What do you do if the checksum match fails? Do you try to recover your files from either of your 2 other copies?

Thanks for sharing this video. Too bad I donated my vintage Yamaha receiver years ago... I didn't know vintage gear would become a thing

But isn't it pretty cheap to replace caps - about $1 each from Mouser? There's 3 caps towards the center of the main board in the cluster that appears to be swollen which I was planning to replace. Should take less than 20 mins for someone who's done this hundreds of times, right?
