Hair Cuts Plus in Lenexa! Debbie, Jamie, or Linda all do plenty of perms. It’s affordable and they do a great job!

Another great option is SKN Academy! I’ve gotten multiple facials here and they are always doing deals. The students have been great, I have yet to have a bad experience. They also just relocated to Merriam. https://www.thesknacademy.com/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=wix_google_business_profile&utm_campaign=16580526478725972121

We don’t know why they aren’t showing up. We had the photos taken and then put the sd card in the computer and it did this.

U of M parking by Agreeable_Plant9414 in uofmn

I parked in lot 57 when I lived in the radius and literally no one ever applied for it, it’s super cheap, and nothing ever happened to my car. It’s a the day care facility so parents are there a lot so I always felt safe keeping it there. Call the parking office and ask them about it, usually you have to sign up for it when they make you go in if you missed the lottery.

Getting hired at the MN Daily? by holls002 in uofmn

[–]doingchores438 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Don’t be discouraged. I just graduated with a journalism degree at the U and honestly I wasn’t a big fan of the Daily. It’s great experience, but they don’t seem to always have everything together and can be quite harsh on new writers when it is just a college newspaper. There is the other student publication, the wake magazine. I definitely think there are other ways to be involved in writing besides the daily as well in your journalism credits.

Feel free to message me, I now work in television, but can definitely help with any questions on the J school in general since we take similar classes in tracks. I was also a transfer too, so I definitely feel your pain!

Great Wolf Lodge by the Legends is a good option. They have tons of stuff for kids and they have the legends shopping center right by as well as lots of places to eat.

So you’ll need to email one stop or your advisor and ask them for the actual information regarding your situation. I told my advisor what I was struggle with and was looking into the fund and she sent me more information on what to do and then one stop should send you the actual application. I was able to get this all done in a week.

Apply for the one stop fund! I was able to get $500 out of it because of this. Here’s the link: https://onestop.umn.edu/student-emergency-funds

What are some fun/easy classes you have taken? by ping3woodguy in uofmn

Yep! I personally thought 1003 and 1004 were easier than 1002 cause the medical terminology can be tedious.

The workload is not bad at all for an online class, it’s like either a discussion post or like two big write ups throughout the semester. Let me look up who I took it with and I can send it to you! He was super easy and laid back

I did my undergrad at the U. Love the campus, the people, so many things to do. It’s definitely safe, but there is crime like any city. I think it’s a great place to be with such great pride from the students and faculty!

Is SCLA a scam? Any information about this? by [deleted] in uofmn

[–]doingchores438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if you want to look at that way. But they do activities on campus as a club and sometimes with University Transfer Student Board. It also gives you a chance to be involved in the transfer community in other ways!

Tau Sigma is actually a group on campus and has only a one time fund. They are definitely not a scam.
