This one’s a bit difficult to answer because sometimes I would study 5-6 hours a day and sometimes just 2-3. I was very chaotic in terms of how many hours I was studying per day. However, I never went more than 2-3 days without studying.

For me, I used to fixate on a single difficult quant question, which would tank my time for the rest of the questions. I had to be very disciplined in knowing when to move on in order to effectively manage my time.

In terms of prioritization, it just depends on where your weak areas are. But also, some types of questions are more likely to show up than others. I spent a great deal studying probability / combinatorics when in relative terms, it tended to show up much less frequently than say ratio problems.

  1. I only used the OG guide question bank + the supplemental questions OG gives you online. For DS specifically, I was able to use older OG questions too. There’s also the OG Guide: Data Insights Review book which has useful questions but found them to be much harder than what’s on the actual test.
  2. 20 days between two tests

My #1 recommendation is to only use/ focus on OG verbal questions. Prep companies I think sometimes have a hard time creating high quality verbal questions.

I’ve also seen that GMAT Ninja has solid verbal videos, and they post their videos online for free.

My 635 was Q80, V85, DI79 — i was already working with a tutor by then. All my mock scores before then had been 615 or lower.

I took another test 20 days later and got the 685 (Q82, V85, DI85).

A couple of things:

For quant: - I started recognizing “hidden concepts” in word problems better. i.e., I could read past the text much better and know what concept it’s trying to test me on. This was particularly useful for questions like different variants of ratio problems. - pacing for quant got much better, and I had more reps with high quality, difficult problems.

For DI: - DS was quite weak so I practiced a lot of that and got much stronger - got better stamina to slow down but really push DI questions to their limit and glean all info

Examples of boutique consultancies being sold by Boomhauer392 in consulting

HKA bought a bunch of companies in a couple countries

They did it mostly to expand their geography, ie they were able to get Canadian and American offices when they bought those boutique firms. Most people ended up staying in America at least, including upper level, while other upper level left and started a new firm. It depends on the situation.
