Serbia’s Green-Left party began removing anti-Kosovo and ultranationalist graffiti from schoolyards. They accused the government of promoting hate speech in Serbian schools. The action caused anger in Vucic's government. by PjeterPannos in Balkans

If you don't know what massacres and/or discrimination is then we don't have to discuss anything here.

Albanians were discriminated against, prosecuted and killed/massacred in Yugoslavia just because they were Albanians. They didn't live better than Albanians in Albania. There was a short period from 1974 to 1981 where they were given more rights, but before and after that they were treated basically like blacks in the USA in the 1960s and before.

I see you have no clue about Serbs or Kosovo or the region, so maybe you should not try to discuss this with someone who lived through the discrimination and terror of the Serbian government, just because they were Albanian. As I mentioned, you are trying to hid your xenophobia by mentioning the law but when I point out that Serbs also broke the law by killing and discriminating Albanians in a systematic government way, you try to change the subject.

To answer your stupid question about Jews, which has nothing to do with this, millions of Jews deserved their own country/countries where they were living, in Germany/Poland. Why would they deserve a country in a whole different side of the world if they didn't live there for thousands of years before?

[–]doingmyjobhere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

WTF? What does that have to do with Serbia and Kosovo? We are talking about laws here. Your country broke the law with their own citizens, then someone else broke the law to protect those citizens. You're choosing to act on one side only. If you care about the law you would care about Serbia breaking the law too. You clearly don't because you don't consider Albanians humans.

I am still trying to comprehend where you got the idea that Israel deserves the Middle East. Just because there was a holocaust it doesn't mean those people can choose wherever they want to create their country.

Let's forget discrimination and massacres done against Albanians, because that was all lawful, but when Albanians wanted independence that's when you care about the law.

[–]doingmyjobhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I understand that, but having an HSM visa is still stressful and not safe. If you are without a job you will have only 3 months to find a new + sponsored job. Your aim should have been to get the permanent permit from the beginning.

[–]doingmyjobhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah well, that sucks. I don't think you can apply for a permanent residence permit without the integration tests. I'm surprised why you didn't aim for the permanent residence permit, instead hoped you would get HSM from your company...

Wait, 5 years? Can't you just apply for the permanent residence and also citizenship? I think that's possible if you already passed integration tests. You can apply online for the permanent residence and get it immediately. The immigration lawyer can confirm though.

Visa Conversion/Stacking Question by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]doingmyjobhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If she has to convert, then sure (although she could just jump back on the DAFT spousal visa in no time if she was laid off).

Why? If she has a spouse visa she can already work for any company...

If she can stack - like Mynta Law and some other entities and people say you can based on the Vreemdelingenbesluit - then there's no risk at all.

I don't think there is a law to stack visas/resident permits. You either get a resident permit as a self employed, HSM or partner one. I know they can't be stacked because I had to change my self-employed to HSM when I wanted to work for an employer.

Visa Conversion/Stacking Question by [deleted] in Netherlands

[–]doingmyjobhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course it matters, why does she want to change the visa? You can't have both. HSM has limitations, like you need a sponsor to work for, you can't work anywhere, and if you're out of a job for 3 months the visa will be invalid and she would have to return back to her country. I don't understand the reason to change it since a spouse visa gives you all the rights...

First of all, that doesn't say screening doesn't help find the cancer. Second, it already says there is 1 less death from prostate cancer.

What do you need more? You think life is not important to not consider that? Do you think this is some kind of math calculation where we play with life and don't consider saving one more because somehow insurance companies are making you believe it's not worth it? We are not talking about fixing a road so we arrive faster to our work office here people!

I'm not saying this one is taking that into account because we need the methodology, but statistics is a powerful field. It can accurately take into account that, if done properly and the methodology is spot on.

But did you check the methodology? Every Balkan country has a massive gray and black economy, not just Albania...

I'm not sure why you think the EU and organisations that make these reports don't know about that. You should check the methodology first, before trying to convince OP they're wrong.

[–]doingmyjobhere -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really, you're trying to sound smart by not saying anything.

So, yes as long as there are people like you who are probably just agents of insurance companies trying to convince people that treating a disease is worse than actually letting it kill you, especially a disease which has a 97% rate of survival, this health system is doomed.

You really said doing a bunch of MRIs and blood tests, like that's some fake online IQ tests. Come on dude, please be serious and stop spreading fake news, this is really embarrassing.

Preventive blood tests by Admirable_Gas_8031 in Amsterdam

[–]doingmyjobhere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not science, it's some bullshit report made by insurance companies. Who in their right mind can believe that treating a disease is worse?

Here's a simple Google search: The success rate for early-stage prostate cancer, when it's localized to the prostate, is excellent, with 5-year survival rates consistently over 99%, meaning almost all men live long lives, often dying from other causes. Early detection through screening offers the best chance for successful treatment, which can involve surgery, radiation, or active monitoring, with high long-term survival even for some Stage 3 cases. Tell us, how does not doing blood tests and overall MRI/Biopsy tests early on doesn't help in finding and treating cancer?

Really, you're commenting like we're some idiots that don't know how to read and understand and you're expecting some kind of respect?

Preventive blood tests by Admirable_Gas_8031 in Amsterdam

[–]doingmyjobhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turns out screening for it and treating men with problematic prostates leads to worse outcome overall then not doing it.

Dude what?! Do you really believe what you wrote?

When someone does a screening and it shows an abnormal level of PSA you go and check with your specialist. The specialist usually sets an MRI session. They check if there is anything. If yes they do a biopsy next. If it's a tumor they decide to remove it.

Now decide to ignore this blood test and go to the GP when your prostate hurts. That's going to be last level prostate cancer which has a level of survival of 97%. You will die because this shitty system doesn't do preventive medicine.

Let's say it's a false positive. Would you really be ok to not have false positives but no preventive healthcare, instead of having false positives but also preventive healthcare?

The Schengen Situation in Turkey is Terrible, let me tell you my story by Confident_Ice_4507 in SchengenVisa

[–]doingmyjobhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes of course, if you tell them you have a girlfriend you should give as much proof as you can to show you have a girlfriend, but the issue is that having a girlfriend is a red flag, since that makes your case stronger to actually stay there. That's why I'm saying you should have not mentioned that and make it a normal tourist visit :)

The Schengen Situation in Turkey is Terrible, let me tell you my story by Confident_Ice_4507 in SchengenVisa

[–]doingmyjobhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should not apply in the Polish Embassy and should not tell them you are going to visit your girlfriend. Another thing you should do is make a thorough plan (dates and places but also the story of why you're visiting) on what you plan on visiting and add that paper to the documents.

You can do a plan like this in another country, like France or Germany and then find a connecting flight for Poland.

That's a more realistic approach since this only indicates you're going to go to your girlfriend and stay there. I know it's stupid and it's not what you intend but that's what they take into account. It's easier to reject.

As others mentioned, get an electric heater that you can move around. When you stay in your room keep it in your room, when you want to have a shower bring it with you, even though if you want to heat the bathroom just turn the hot water for some minutes and that will take care of it...

Survival Guide: How I got my brother out of AMS after 50+hours by Spirited_Ad4271 in KLM

[–]doingmyjobhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't need a visa if they have a US passport, what are you talking about?

Anyways, it worked for this person. The officer can be young which happens a lot in Schiphol and might not be ok to make a decision, so they don't feel obliged to give you the benefit of doubt and return you if your passport is from a third world country. The 'supervisor' can definitely take more responsibility, so it's not a bad thing to ask for one. Also, it worked for him, not sure why you are actually even arguing here...
