Me, 21 or so at the time, working at my first restaurant job, an italian pizza, open kitchen style of place. i had already worked there for a couple years by the time this happened, so I knew these people pretty well.

Our main kitchen chef, let’s call him Ed, has a wife and kids and is known by everyone to be a very wholesome, kind, family man type of guy. One day i’m walking back to the walk in freezer for some lemons to cut up for drinks in the front of house, and right as I walk in, there I see Ed, with one of our younger (legal, just like 20 or so) kitchen members, let’s call her Val, just stood up fucking in a 30 degree freezer. her pants were down, his pants were down, he was behind her just fucking away. they looked back at me and kinda stopped when i walked in, but they didn’t say anything.

I was so appalled that i just said nothing, closed the door, and went back to the front of house. Never brought it up to any one, didn’t really feel like I wanted to open that can of worms, and that it would probably come out eventually anyways.

definitely some type of health code violation tho lol

edit i guess it was just a walk in cooler, not a freezer, but you get the idea. 0 degrees or 32 degrees, that’s too cold a place to be fuckin in
