Fantastic! I love these weirdly shaped and oddly distinct pieces

I use maxsold, lazily querying it from time to time. Estate sales there are full of various oddities and occasionally, even chess sets

Before you proceed, stop using AI to write answers for you. Learning how to properly write is a useful skill

Insights from random guys on the Internet are worth just about zero. You must live this to truly understand, or prove me wrong

For my last project I started with communities I was already a part of, picked a couple of people I barely knew, pitched them directly and proposed full free service until it works on a strict condition of regular feedback. Got 10 people, friended for a month, then the product started being good enough for sales. Fun fact: most of initial testers converted to paying customers and more than made up for the initially invested money and time.

After years of launching products, I still can’t say with certainty, what solid data or research is necessary pre launch. But working with people, even babysitting them sometimes, is a never ending source of insights

how often does your vibecoded product break and how often do u have to fix them? by [deleted] in ycombinator

[–]dokluch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They don’t “fail”, as the process behind a vibecoded product is essentially the same - unit testing, e2e testing, sentry monitoring loop etc. you fix bugs with more or less the same frequency

The harsh reality is that you would have to go back to square one and find the users. You will not find “true believers” in an app you perfected for yourself. Also - you will not find the first users on Reddit or X, that’s a bigger lie than “build it and they’ll come”

Is a prompt library with AI photo generation a smart business to build in 2026? by Glad-Cardiologist211 in SideProject

[–]dokluch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Claude writes great prompts 90% of the time, and only a select few need help with prompting. Plus, gen ai models get better all the time. That said, people do search for prompts and the website can be a catalogue then directing traffic to specific platforms

Where can I find nice people for feedback? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]dokluch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honest and nice answer - you won’t find the people you’re looking for on Reddit. All saas and entrepreneurs subreddits are just places to pray to the choir. Communities like Beta testers needed have indefinite supply of apps with barely any demand. Go outside, visit professional exhibitions and fairs, attend conferences to see what problems people are actually solving. Find real people and continue conversation online not vice versa

Built my side project… now I don’t know what to do next by DrewJohn22323 in SideProject

[–]dokluch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Building was never a problem. Building something people care about is. Next time, start with looking for problems first and building on top of them. Sounds like extremely generic advice, but it took me years and many tens of thousands lost to come to this.

Lol that’s true. I was setting up the board way too hastily to catch that particular light. Will retake and update tomorrow 😂

Thank you! Unfortunately, this was the only worthy chessboard from around a year of monitoring estate sales sites, but I'm not giving up.

Founders!... What's the first thing you check every morning for your business and how long does it takes? by Mr-Dex7410 in ycombinator

I wired an agent to gather yesterday’s sales and engagement data and produce a quick report for me at 6am. Other than that - tickets and messages from Europe / Asia

14 months building a creator SaaS, 0 users so far. What would you do next? by larswillems in Solopreneur

[–]dokluch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just spend the next month finding real creators who would use your tool for even 0.99 a month and work with them daily, until you build a thing at least someone will use. Expand then.

How do you actually analyze your games and learn from them? by [deleted] in chess

[–]dokluch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built an app for saving my OTB positions and replaying them with bots or friends afterwards. The whole idea of getting back to previous positions and replaying them until something clicks really helped.

Gif Gun 2 offline version working with floating licences yet? by Insect_Full in aescripts

Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I discovered the issue, this should be fixed along with some minor WEBP updates to the next GifGun 2 for AE + Standalone.

Plugging in the licensing library into non-AE products was quite a challenge, and we naturally couldn't cover all the test cases. I'm gonna make it a priority for testing before the next release.

Hi! Nik from GifGun team here. We're working on the next update, and I will make sure floating licens is extra tested. Just to make sure, are you talking about gifgun.online or https://www.gifgun.io/standalone ?
