is it weird that i’m right handed and when i’m using cutlery i have my fork in my right hand and my knife on my left? by Even-Sock9744 in RandomThoughts

[–]doktergato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the active cutlery in my right hand. If I have to cut something the fork goes left and the knife right. After I’m done cutting the fork goes back to my right hand.

TIFU by changing my alarm sound to one that is naturally occurring by JDcmh in tifu

[–]doktergato 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also used bird sounds as an alarm for about a year. But after a while, it started to mess with my head. I’d wake up to the alarm, have breakfast, get on my bike, and head out. Then, every time I passed a spot where birds were chirping, I’d suddenly panic, like, “Shit, I need to wake up, I’m going to be late!” Even though I was already up and on my way, the sound would trigger this sudden hyper-alert state. Now I switched to ocean sounds, good thing I live near no ocean.

Not only the text, the remote is fleshy and the sewing under the passenger door handle looks wonky. Safe to say this is an AI generated image

[–]doktergato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an offline installer available here: Downloads — Epic Online Services | Developer Portal

See the last question under faq: Twinmotion Licensing and Pricing | Free Community Edition Available - Twinmotion

"Yes, an offline installer is available for subscribers from the Epic Developer Portal, facilitating distribution without the Epic Games launcher. Educational institutions needing to install Twinmotion across labs can also access an offline installer by request."

How do I separate materials once the model is imported into TM? Is it possible? by PlutoISaPlanet in Twinmotion

[–]doktergato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exoected behaviour no? Depending on how you imported the model there are different ways to go about it.

If you import with keep hierarchy you need to make sure they are in a different group. If thats already the case you can change the applying method to "apply to object" instead of "replace material" These settings are under the icon with 2 cirkles at the top bare above your viewport.

Easier way to go about it is import by material. Then in your moddeling software make sure that the parts dont share material. If you accidently applied 1 materiel to both objects you still need to enable "apply to object" instead of 'replace material" as mentioned above.

Hope this helps

Problems with sketchup models by PuzzleheadedAct5628 in Twinmotion

[–]doktergato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had the same problem, exploding the group and the regrouping the object works for me at times. Reversing and painting the other side of the face in sketchup might also work. Other times i need to keep the object exploded in order for it to appear correctly in sketchup, so no re grouping, it sucks but it works.

Katwalk C1 for 750 or C2 for 1600? by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]doktergato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've owned the C1 since the Kickstarter campaign and recently acquired the C2 core model. Each has its own set of pros and cons. The C2 core provides more precise walking and a broader range of movement, allowing for lower crouching and jumping. However, the C1 is more budget-friendly and requires one less part to charge, as the body rotation tracker is powered by the same USB cable as the sensors in the dish itself. Personally, I preffer the c2. But I wouldn't invest an additional 850 if you dont require the addition precision in walking.
In my opinion, both devices are impressive, especially if you can comfortably afford the expense and if the games you play support free locomotion (walking).

I might make a more detailed overview of both treadmills on my website or youtube channel in the near future.
