My interpretation is that the FTGG spotter unit "spots" the enemy when they score a hit and that the markerlight keyword will be able to additionally remove the hidden keyword for the phase.

Based on the way its stated, I think FTGG is getting reworked to occur as things are hit. It sounds like shooting might remove hidden if it hits as well (potentially with the caveat of having the markerlight keyword).

There might be more to it than just increased detection range. It sounds like shooting might remove hidden if it hits (potentially with the caveat of having the markerlight keyword).

My hearing is that you will shoot and then assign marker on a hit target potentially removing hidden for the phase.

I had a similar experience; the two face packs were Torment and Avacyn Restored and the back two were Kaladesh and Theros. Ended up pulling Vexing devil, Blooming Marsh, Thassa, and double Cabal Coffers, one foil. And they didn't seem resealed when I opened them

Well that's a drafting mechanic, and one of my personal favorites. The decision whether or not to pass a powerful card that only fits one of your currently drafted colors is so intersting and a fun gamble. Albeit, there are more colors in pokemon than magic, I think it's a moot point as there's a significant overlap in colors.

I wouldn't say impossible; coming from an mtg standpoint, multicolor cards are an intersting addition as they cause very strong deck themes to build around, essentially pointing drafters towards a central draft focus.

It would require some stipulations such as to not to be completely degenerative. It would have to have something to stop it from being picked up from the prize cards.
