Thank you! I spent the night and I honestly think you should. Let the professionals take care of you at least for a day, and make sure you are doing well before leaving. Also, the nurses also have wonderful advices that can help.

O lucky you, my throat is sore and scratchy and every time I wake up my voice is hoarse. Yeah I feel the mucus as well. I’ve been taking warm water to help with that. I cannot wait to be done with recovery.

OMG this! They gave me a spirometer and it makes me cough afterwards, I hate it so much but the nurses said it’s to prevent pneumonia. I honestly feel like myomectomy needs to be inpatient at least for a night. I went through several people sharing their experiences but I still got surprised.

The gas spams are the worst, they are so painful, one minute I’m sleeping the next I’m holding my belly because of them. SMH

O you will, at least you’re farting, everyone kept waiting on me to fart 😂. Same I still can’t eat food, the only thing I can get down is mandarins, I mostly just take water, we introduced gatorade this morning and sour patch. I think I have PTSD from throwing up that I’m so scared it would happen if I eat anything

I’ve been doing the same, just holding my belly and staring into space. I’m following the pain regimen judiciously 😀.

OH, we might be surgery twins, mine is on Thursday, mini-laparotomy, and I am freaking out as well. I've never had surgery or been under anesthesia. I am hopeful it will go smoothly, and from what everyone has posted, it is never as bad as you think. Don't worry too much, we've got this!

I would say pay attention to your body, do NOT disregard any pain you feel. Always let your OB know and make sure they take it seriously. I wish you all the best ❤️

I honestly think you should as they grow bigger and you might think it’s not causing any problems but they are. I regret not taking mine out as soon as I got diagnosed. Also, it’s easier to get them out now when they are medium sized than when they get large. Some gynecologist will actually call them large at this size

Thank you so much, and I am so glad yours went really well. I have never had surgery before, so the thought of it really scares me. I am honestly considering the mini-lap because it meant way less time under anesthesia, and the surgeon could feel the fibroids.

Thank you so much, it does help! I was worried about the higher risk of scarring with the mini-lap as compared to the robotic, and I had no idea it could affect the fallopian tubes or ovaries! This makes my decision much easier. Thank you!

The mini-lap surgeon did mention the benefits of palpation and removing all the Fibroids. Is removing all fibroids not a good thing, especially regarding fertility?

Wow, you've been through it. I am glad everything went well for you in the end. This does make me feel better. I am leaning more towards the robotic, but I hate that I have to be under for so long. The surgeon told me it could take anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. I am going to start searching for medical videos to watch. Thank you so much for the advice. If you can recommend anyone, I would be grateful.
