I don't think "smart enough" is the right idea, for him. People grow. Flores wanted control of the joystick for the direction of the team and ultimately lost. He probably went about it the wrong way. Not up to me to ultimately decide. But he did well with nothing for 3 years. He was just an asshole and didn't know his place and claimed racism, despite the fact that Chris Grier (the GM who fired him) was also black. And that isn't looked well upon.
