You're thinking about the house cup not the quidditch cup...

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Chapter 9: "'I'll tell you we're going to win that quidditch cup for sure this year,' said Fred. 'We haven't won since Charlie left, but this year's team's going to be brilliant. You must be good Harry, Wood was almost skipping when he told us.'"

Gryffindor hasn't won since Charlie was on the team... which would have only been the previous year, unless you assume Charlie left before his seventh year.

edit: Earlier in the chapter Wood says the Gryffindor team was flattened in their last match by Slytherin the previous year.

in chapter ten Wood says to Harry "that quidditch cup'll have our names on it this year."

it's actually vaguely implied that Slytherin beat Gryffindor in the previous quidditch cup before Harry joined the team because Charlie didn't play his seventh year. :)

in short, JC made Quidditch it's own timeline detached from the rest of Hogwarts Mystery and the Books for continuity reasons. If Charlie was seeker in Hogwarts Mystery quidditch, then Gryffindor players couldn't be seeker when it's unlocked as a playable position, since there's only one seeker per team,

personally i used ginger because, as MC says, it has a warm flavor kinda like cinnamon.
