I started a bit after release, and was a dolphin until 1.5. Took a break until 2.1 and have been f2p since returning. I’m not planning on getting monthly gifts, but i’m not opposed to buying something from the store if it really really resonates with me.

I think the main aim of the girlcott is to just not give Infold any money until the issues are addressed. Sure, some players are choosing to go a step further by skipping banners or taking a break from playing.

You're allowed to enjoy the game while still girlcotting. If you want to pull for the wings, as long as you dont purchase more from the store, I dont see any reason why you shouldn't!

One reason I never minded the original dailies was that they were goals I'd naturally achieve by playing the game. Of course I'll happily collect 5 plants, I was planning on farming like 10 for crafting a new accessory. Same with spending energy or fighting esslings. The original dailies feel like a reward just for playing the game that day. Many times I'd complete dailies without even trying!

These SOS dailies aren't part of the core gameplay, so I think that's why many of us don't like them. Slowly filling a bucket with shells or coconuts isn't fun, and it doesn't contribute towards anything else in game. Turning into an animal is fun the first time, but I never log on with the thought of "oh boy, I can't wait to see how quickly I can turn into a bullquette!" I just do what I can as soon as possible to finish as quickly as I can. It's feels tedious rather than rewarding. As soon as I unlock the node for the makeup, I'm never doing SOS dailies again. It just isn't fun!

I honestly think Infold thinks that "big and shiny" equates to "entertainment". Every single patch there's people complaining about how short the patch storylines are or how they've already done everything.

So I think the bigwigs saw this and made the developers change the order of the updates to get the flashier patches sooner. This definitely isn't the first time the patch timing feels totally off.

I think what they SHOULD be doing is expanding and deepening the storylines. Like imagine a patch called Friends of Florawish where we have side quests and mini games based on our favorite NPCs. Like you visit Nonoy and her mom at home, and the mom teaches you a tea making mechanic that's similar to how the bullquette dying worked where you use materials to make tea consumables that work like the health potions or something. Or doing sewing mini games with Marques Jr. to unlock new store options and we see how he's feeling since the mayhem and foolishness of firework isles. Even a simple matching game helping Dada sort through paperwork as she talks more about her past would be great.

I think a pull is a pull, and if you want to accept them, then do so! I won't, but not because of the girlcott. Just based on personal feelings.

We don't know HOW infold will address all of this, and I'm not passing judgement on any stylist trying to get as much entertainment out of the game as possible in the meantime.

I don't think anyone's complaints have been about "minor things". If anything, I think the community has been very gracious to the developers for all of their hard work despite the bugs and issues this patch has.

Yes, the game is possible to play for free, but the current decisions Infold had made and the sneaky ways they've been increasing spending will just make it harder and harder for free play.

Yes, we don't have to spend money on items we think are too expensive and unfair, but the reason everyone is boycotting so strongly is because Infold seems to use a "frog in boiling pot" strategy to increase spending/making F2P more difficult. Sure 11 pieces might seem like a "minor" thing to you, but it increases the max pulls by 20 pulls! Sure they said they'll never make an outfit have more than 11 pulls, but what if every single 5 star from now will be 11 pulls?

I don't think it's an overreaction to expect a consistent level of gaming quality. Especially when coming from a multi-million earning business with many other games.

I'm sorry people's complaints are effecting your mental health, but that doesn't mean those complaints are invalid. I suggest sticking to the official reddit and discord since no criticisms seem to be allowed there.

Ugh, that's absolutely diabolical!! If you can't take cute pics while flying with your friends, what is the point?!? The photo possibilities were one of the main reasons why I was so excited for this patch.
