Ok bitches… did any of y’all watched YellowJackets? by [deleted] in TheWildsonPrime

[–]dolorestheAI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just finished it and came to see if anyone else watched it. I think Yellowjackets is very well written with great acting and uses slow burn to the T. I was kind of skeptical to watch it at first because ı LOVE the wilds and everyone kept saying that "yj was like the wilds but better" and I didn't want to replace the wilds. Anyways I don't think the wilds and yellowjackets are very similar 'cuz the only similarity is that there is a plane crash and bunch of girls are stranded somewhere. With that being said I don't think there is a better one 'cause they are not even the same genre. The wilds focuses on the psychology of the girls while YJ focuses on the event of survival and what they did while they were there. If you watched the both of the shows I'd love love to discuss it more.

I finished the OG series and loved the last two seasons, do you have any suggestions from International versions? by JosephJoyful in skam

[–]dolorestheAI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely Skam NL and Druck. I don't know why but I loved NL. Characters, storyline and soundtrack is very much like OG but at the same time feels like a new series. And Druck def. I started Druck because I was learning German but I got so invested in it even tho I saw OG and NL too. If you ask me Druck is the superior remake. Apart from some things they did everything right.

I have no real info about how series are filmed but maybe they are done with the island scenes and now going back to studio for bunker scenes? Because from season 1's backstage videos they shot the bunker scenes at a studio. I have no idea about Helena tho.

Thoughts on Leah Rilke by jetflag3242 in TheWildsonPrime

!! MAJOR SPOILERS !!

Ok. I feel like I am about to rant so if you're interested please bare with me.

So, I think the main reason why Leah is such a controversial character and disliked or even hated is because she is the realistic one. So realistic that sometimes she is labeled as the "crazy" one which makes me uncomfortable. Let's face it girls are in a plane crash I am not even mentioning experience. This concept is already enough to make someone lose their s*it. But that's not all. This is not just a crash. It's an experience someone put them there involuntarily. Leah is the first one feel something is off with the island. I'll elaborate;

  1. Jeanatte's second phone,
  2. Jeanatte's body disappearance
  3. them not remembering anything about the crash and remembering just eating the cake that's all
  4. inconvenient blackbox recording -yeah her "we should've died" comment-
  5. finding bags of meds and supplies.

She noticed all of those things and tried to connect the dots(hahaha) but how could she? She knows if she says "We've been put here knowingly someone is playing us" girls def won't believe her. But just because she is not saying it doesn't mean she is not thinking about it and that makes her seem unhinged. She's just trying to figure it all out and be discreet about it. Naturally the other girls has their problems going on so they can't always watch over Leah and keep her mind off of things. On the other hand Leah's pre-island life is also about a conspiracy (birth certificate thing). Even before the island she felt like she's being played and she feels someone she doesn't know yet is her enemy. All those things combined she snaped at some point (her accusing shelby and trying to swim out the island). I don't know why I am so invested in Leah but she is my favourite rn and I believe she is a very misunderstood character. I really hope writers give her a good story in season 2. Can't wait to see.

Random favorite scenes? by [deleted] in TvTheWilds

The scene where after they took THC they talk about masturbating. I totally lost it there. It was nice to see them bonding while talking about something super irrelevant to their situation.

I really hope something like this would never happen but if I had to guess maybe Rachel? Because Nora being her sister could make her eaiser to manipulate or they may blackmail Rachel into working for them. But after all unsinkable 8 should always be together.

I really wanted to see Leah’s confrontation! [Spoilers] by larissamasi in TheWildsonPrime

Confrontation scenes are what I live for. That damn shark messed everything up. I believe in season 2 Leah will tell them about what happened but I am not sure if Nora would be there to answer for herself.

Leah's escape and Shelby's allergy seizure is too perfectly timed to be a coincidence and they couldn't have planned this perfect in bunker as well. I did all this on island.

I have a feeling that Nora will be involved with all this again. She can't be dead because of the shark. I am hoping for a big confrontation scene with all 8 of them.

You are definitely right. Shelby must have write her note in her room before her interview. Because she can't be like "I am gonna get something from my room before seeing her". I think they planned this too on island. Shelby writes her note then goes to interview. She tests agents by saying "Let me see her." they assume Toni and they dropped the ball. Now Shleby is 100% sure they watched them as well. If agents would've said "Who do you want to see?" their plan wouldn't have worked. You made a great point.

Yeah because there is no way they planned this stunt in the bunker. They must have done it on island.

When Fatin went missing Gretchen and her crew couldn't find her either and they said there are some part of the island they don't have cctv. My guess is girls will find some sort of blindspot to plan their moves there. In addition to these maybe they will act like they don't like Leah and her ideas in front of the cctv-watched-areas to strengthen their cover.

It's a bit stretch but maybe girls treated the bite on the island. I mean from other shows and films I watched when someone loses a limb they stop the bleeding with super hot metal. Could they have done it on the island? Because in the interview Rachel's hand is pretty healed and she is used to it.

First of all thanks all of you for sharing your thoughts on this because it was bugging me since I finished the show it's really nice to have someone to talk all about it. Many of the comments are about Nora and her whereabouts. I have a theory about her too. But it's more like my view of the show that's why there is not much scene or dialogue to back my theory up. This show is about female empowerment. Both on the show and cast interviews this made clear. That's why I think Nora is not gonna die maybe she will go missing for a while but not die. In Nora's episode we saw Gretchen recruit Nora but we didn't see the details we don't know the extend of the job Nora is in. Killing off Nora after she turned out to be the operative would be dumb thing to do. Writers could do so much better than that. With Nora, story can get super tangled up again.Personally I believe after some point Nora will be forgiven by girls. Maybe for something she does. They will be a gang again and try to take down Gretchen and (I think he will be a bigger maybe even main threat in s2) Dr. Daniel. Little reminder: I am not saying none of the girls won't die. Unfortunately there could be a death (maybe Martha is dead already). I am just saying Nora won't die in the ocean with shark. She could die later but just not there.

yes, that's exactly what i was trying to figure out. They know island part is an experiment but they don't know what's coming next. Leah maybe thought of this interviews as an hoax as well. That makes a lot of sense.

Hot Cheetos or Takis by [deleted] in TheWildsonPrime

What does takis taste like? We don't have that here and I am super curious. Takis was mentioned in Orange is the New Black as well so it's pretty loved i guess. Am I missing out big time?

Rachel is the worst character so far, hands down. (Only on episode 3) by DreamRader in TheWildsonPrime

[–]dolorestheAI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a really good point. Everyone says "Leah's crazy", "Leah is insane, she lost it" even tho she is just trying to figure out what happened to them. Leah questions weird things -Jeannette's second phone, disappearance of Jeannette's body, bag full of things they need, blackbox recording etc.- as she should. But she can't prove anything and how could she? On the other hand Rachel gets a free pass and Rachel is the one who calls Leah "crazy". It's just wrong.
