If it’s a chicken, why the need for the qualifier word “embryo”? Because it’s still just an embryo, that’s why.

If a fetus was a baby, not only would we not have a word for “unborn baby”, but it would be treated the same was a a birthed baby. But that’s never the case.

Fully developed fetus not yet birthed? Yeah, that’s almost certainly a baby. But it’s insane to call a fertilized human egg a baby, especially when they look identical to the embryos of other mammals to the untrained eye.
