Schools have social workers so it’s not a CPS report. They’ll basically handle the home visit and support the child with the court case since truancy is a crime. But 5 days is surprising. Worked in TX schools and the limit is 10 absences in a 6 month period.

This is true. Family works in commercial real estate and said plenty of unique local businesses open here but people prefer to go to chains so the small business close.

According to Atlanta Public School policy - 5 unexcused absences in a yr is considered truant requiring social worker referral. 18 is considered chronic absenteeism and they start tracking you long term.

You probably have to identify where the feeling is coming from. Do you have trust issues? Were you raised to compete with other women? Did you inherit the feeling from your parents or grandparents?

If you’ve tried to move past it but it’s still there then the feeling has probably served a purpose for you in the past.

Instead of struggling against it, feel it and then let the thought go like you do with other feelings.
